See the Sky in Front of You (Sonic Rainboom)

Yay, Dash! But what of stage fright, far from earth?
So Rarity receives her silvered wings.
Sunward she'll climb, and show Cloudsdale her worth
Amongst the clouds – her mind on lovely things.
Rainbow's routine, then – swoop and soar and flow
High o'er the Cloudesseum: all shall stare;
She'll start her rainboom dive, the throng below.
So comes the day; deft pegasi take air:
Up! up! save one delirious, frighted blue.
At last a unicorn, all red of face,
Emerges. Dash still fears, yet pushes through –
Ah, Icarus, your presence felt today...
The Wonderbolts fall too! See Rainbow's chase
Paint vivid skies. Now, crownèd mare, away!

Inspired by "High Flight" by John Gillespie Magee, Jr. The title is from "She's a Rainbow" by The Rolling Stones.

That's an interesting structure. I can't honestly say I knew of the poem by John Gillespie Magee, but I like the fact that this is quite an unusual structure to work with, and it still scans perfectly. Something else that stood out is that it has a very uplifting, "triumphant" feel to it, and bearing in mind the episode that this is based on, that seems very appropriate. It feels like those last few lines have a soaring feel to them, which again seems very relevant.
