Spike & Discord have happily been ruling the Chimera Kingdom for years & their son Draco is 5 years old now. While raising a child & running an empire are rewarding, it can also be tiring. So the trio decides to take a break & spend some time away. Where would three magical royal beings go on vacation? Ponyville of course! Draco hardly ever gets to see his extended family now that they've all settled down. So bags are packed, plans are made & fun will be had! What could possibly go wrong?

So, not only has Rarity already rejected Spike as far as romantics is concerned, she has a girlfriend/wife, hence the "Mrs.". And it's Coco.
I'm genuinely surprised that it shows out that Rarity is gay---but now that you look at it, it does seem that based on her mannerisms and that most males (in my opinion) simply could not match up to her, Coco turns out to be a hell of a lot more than just Rarity's assistant. I just wonder when we will hear about Rarity and Coco having a baby in the future. We know that Spike and Discord have a child together, so it is definitely possible. The part of me that is in the gutter constantly wonders if Rarity and Coco's sex life are as active and interesting as Spike and Discord's. Can't help it---partly due to it feeling like at times the world is rubbing it in that you are single........
Also, they just need to come out of the closet for it. Even if they haven't made it official, I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of tabloids and paparazzi that have already assumed that Rarity and Coco are in a lesbian relationship. I don't think it's a scandal if everyone already knows, or at least believe it.
Did like the cambor of this chapter though. Discord is himself, but at the same time, he's controlled. Spike's definitely took it well with being royalty, and innocent Draco is so cute!! Rarity has her reserved self, and Coco seems like the perfect foil for Rarity. I'm glad to see that Rarity and Spike are at least good friends.
And got to have it to Spike to give that manager a tip of a huge diamond for allowing that food challenge. It's really nice to see him in his way of saying thanks for at least treating them as customers instead of freak shows. I personally think that even though Spike and Discord successfully defeated that challenge, making a huge bill free of charge, it was Spike's noble persona that allowed him to still pay the manager, despite the fact that he didn't need to . Not to mention that a dragon GIVING AWAY a huge valuable item like that is par for the course for Spike. Definitely could see Spike coming back to them again.

It's kinda fucked up that it seems the mean girl always turns ouf to be a spoiled, often times wealthy---and in this case, royal---child. It's even more screwed up that this story's mean girl is actually Draco's cousin, Skyla. At least Draco forgave her, even when he didn't actually know what was going on. You can't change what's in your family, that's a fact.
Also, I love the beginning of this where Spike flashed Rarity with the Obsidian card. (Definite Black Card reference, even if I hit the lottery or something like that, I would never get one, you basically has to have a credit history that's as transparent and clean as crystal diamond.) Same old Rarity, hehehe.
I admit for this, and am kinda ashamed, but I don't know the language decent enough at all for Luna's password. I had to use Google Translate. Sorry.

Will Draco have any traits from spike? I mean it seems like Discords Gene's are dominate.
5321499 Draco has more diverse abilities than Spike, as Discord's powers are pretty hard to overshadow. Spike's dragon genes contribute to Draco having mostly reptilian features and Draco's breath powers are from both parents. Spike's fire breath and Discord's chaotic influence combined for ice breath.
I tried to make Draco's personality like Spike's, but a little more carefree. Also, Draco's personality was somewhat influenced by Twilight who introduced a young Draco to books. Draco's painting and artistic abilities are a reference to Spike's own artistic talents, such as Spike's spectacular piano playing ability seen in the show.
I didn't want Draco to be too much like either parent, since even though there are some similarities inherited from them he's his own person. Draco is sort of a happy medium between Spike and Discord. Most of his powers aren't actively magical, but more adaptive.
I did this because dragons in all sorts of literature vary greatly, but often relate to their environment. Between Spike and Discord he's like, sixty-five percent dragon or something. The only power with any offensive power would be his ice breath, the others being purely for surviving in any environment.
This. Is my favorite ship and I would LOVE to find more stories about these two.
