So, Orestes. He was the one in the picture with Shining Armor, I take it? As for Windchill, will we see her in a picture too? What about Flash Sentry and Blueblood?* Okay, the latter isn't part of the Crystal Empire, but I'm dying to know how Cadance and he are related, siblings or cousins! I like to think of him as her LBBFF, Little Brother Best Friend Forever, and that might turn up some very, very strange situations in the FoE-verse^^
*I actually wanted to ask whether we would see those two in the story. My bad, I was too excited, hah!

To a certain extent, I'd suggest patience; this story (and others) are going to explain a lot of your questions (indeed, the answer to one of them is suggested in the current chapter). And yes, the pics are part of the FoE universe, where the caribou invaded and took over. The reason the caribou don't appear that often is simple: it's usually more fun for me to see females.
