Interestingly enough, I've had Cheerilee picked as one of the mares who'd probably enjoy the idea of a herd. Don't even know why, really, but seeing it here like this reaffirmed it.
The 'master' business is new, though. I'd thought it was something between Spike and Rarity, and spilled over to include Twilight. Well, I think I even prefer your version here. Nothing against the original, of course, but it's even better if it's a general herd thing, heh!
Oh, before I forget: when I first discussed Cheerilee being a proponent of herd relationships with a good friend, he said he could see her try to hook up either the Crusaders or the Rich B*tch Squad with Snips and/or Snails. "So they can keep each other occupied and out of trouble", you know^^

The master thing is basically just something that the two of them do between each other, it's not going to be a thing for all the members of the herd they bring in.
Also yeah for some reason I got the impression of Cheerilee as someone who would like the idea of a herd and couldn't place why. Oh well.
Also I would not inflict being paired with Snips or Snails even on the Rich Bitch Squad

Come now, they deserve some love as well!^^ They're not that bad, really. Nevermind that, Ursa Minor notwithstanding, they inflicted less destruction on Ponyville than Apple Bloom et al, and less emotional trauma than DT and SS.

The dom/sub thing is just one of their little games they play in the bedroom, that will probably expand but I don't think Cheerilee will call anyone else master or mistress, she is still Big Mac's after all

Didn't want to leap right into the full blown sex scenes right away, little bit of setup first. Next chapter will probably be a bit more explicit and certainly more so after that.

So is this based off of the Weekendverse (Weekend, Dragon's Hoard, Conquest), or is this based off of the spinoff/AU of "Weekend Farmhand for Applejack"?
That makes 5 stories based off Spike finally becoming a drake...in more ways than one.

Pretty much this takes place around the same time as the first chapter of Building a Dragon's Hoard. And to me the idea of stallions having herds isn't actually a new thing it's just not as common among ponies anymore as monogamous relationships became the norm.
Also, you gonna tell me that Big Mac shouldn't get all the mares?

It just threw me for a loop a little bit. But then again, considering that Macintosh and Spike are the absolute elite males of Ponyville, I guess it was a matter of time....
Seriously, it seems like some places gets all the luck: Ponyville is home to a princess and a pseudo-prince, the rest of the Elements of Harmony, as well as home to the biggest, strongest stallion in town. Plus it's home to probably the biggest apple enterprise in all of Equestria. And we haven't even got started with some of the more beautiful mares to trot Celestia's lands. It's a wonder whether most of the foals in the next 10 years or so are either gonna be relative to the Apple family, no matter how many times removed, or actually have a bit of draconic blood in them.

Though yeah it is a little odd just how many frigging celebrities or otherwise notable ponies seem to live in Ponyville considering it's apparently some backwater town in the eyes of the Canterlot elite, you'd think that would've changed when the Elements bearers were revealed to be living there.
Looking forward to finding out who all will join Big Mac's herd. Since its a spinoff/side story to Path_of_cloud's story it won't have the Mane 6, Zecora or Gilda.

How about we get it started roughly the same that Spike has to start with? He has a unicorn, an alicorn, two earth ponies, and two pegasi (not counting Gilda or Zecora until it's official)in his herd. So Mac should have roughly the same: two Unicorns, two Pegasi, and two Earth Ponies. Here are some that could show up:

Like I said I wanted to start off without full blown sex scene in the first chapter, it's just the way I write things. And yeah it's my first time writing a clopfic so odds are good there's a few annoyances here and there, hopefully nothing that's interfering with the ability to enjoy it too much.

Young and hot Granny Smith from the past sent to the future to sex her grandson (don't do this one if you're sane), The griffons from Rainbow Falls, Ms Harshwinny, Mayor Mare, Amethyst, The flower triplets, Lightning Dust, Twist, Snails, Allie Way, One of the Pinkie Clones from the magical pool thingy, Time Turner/Dr Hooves, Sea Swirl, Sunset Shimmer, Twilight from the EQG universe, Hoity Toity, Mr Orange, Noteworthy, and finally... bonbon.
If all of these ponies are not sexed by Big Mac and/or Cheerilee... I will destroy Finland. So you know...

Cloud Chaser and Flitter would be good for Macs herd, Pegasus Mare's are always great.Cheery Jubilee is also a good mare if you ask me. Also, the ever adorable Coco Pommel. She could Definitely use Big Mac in her life. Can't really think of any Unicorn mares, but Mac could use one or two of them as well. Maybe Sparkler? Also, Pinkie's Sisters. They aren't used nearly enough.

I've never been to a spa either... I worked with enough dirt in my early life that I never felt the need to bathe in it. My sisters on the other hand, seemed to always bemoan the fact that Oberwiessbach never had any amenities of the sort. My wife enjoys spas though; she always invites me to them, but I've yet to take her up on it - more than likely it stems from my inherent distrust of strangers and anti-social behavior. My Wife is a social creature, and I wouldn't want to embarrass her in front of her friends because I'm such a great lummox.
Anyways, please do continue with the story. It's very... interesting.

Spamotron is right, by the way, Fleetfoot had a serious case of Big MacIncrush after a crash^^ Quite stalkerish, that one. She never let up, even when Luna kissed him. She'd be a nice addition... despite the fact that she fantasised about throwing away his comics collection.
Actually, she might need to be punished for it. You could go for that!
And I'm still not ready to abandon shipping Snips and Snails with Tiara and Spoon. You know what? I should just write that, finally get it over with. Find some more girls/boys to add to that herd. If they're friends with Spike, why wouldn't they emulate what he does? Especially so if either Trixie or Rainbow ends up in a herd.

I'm undecided with Fleetfoot. Mostly because I'm trying to think of some even remotely conceivable way to include her to be honest. Also because I don't want this fic to get too overloaded with characters to the point I can't keep track of them all.
As for the others.....
. Like I said, Snips and Snails are the only characters I could honestly say "And Nothing Of Value Was Lost" if they died and Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, well, don't deserve it in my eyes
