Applejack and Fluttershy had thought they'd come to an understanding about those pesky vampire bats. Little do they know, the decisions they've made have unforeseen consequences that affect them both.
All decisions have consequences. This is how the decision concerning the vampire bats plays out.
This was a beautiful story. In the midst of all the vampire horror stories being generated by this week's episode, this fic was actually true to the show and an excellent, and realistic, follow-up. Thank you. And Foxy thanks you too!
Thank you for writing this. It felt like Applejack got herself a bad deal. I actually thought the episode would end like this. But noo...

Thank you for your kind words. I actually wasn't sure I would submit this one, but now I'm glad I did! It means a lot that you enjoyed it.
I could have sworn this could potentially be a shipping.
Cool short story!

I thought about it - after all, there are few things I love more than Appleshy shipping. But I wanted to keep it short, simple and focused on the bats... so I settled for a subtle shout-out instead. Glad you enjoyed it!

Carbuncle is right. This is how the episode should have ended. And now, I'm going to share it with others. I', grateful you submitted it.
This is such a wonderful, well-written story. Awesome alternate ending to the episode
I'll admit straight up that I don't think the possible Appleshy shipping was needed, but I do like that you addressed the possible (more then likely) consequences of the episode. I gotta say and not to bash Fluttershy, but it was kind of wrong for her to care about the bats, but make AJ bare the burden on top of already giving a spot away to the regular fruit bats.
That's a good question - why didn't they think of that? It's a solution that benefits both parties, and it fits with the episode's moral.

I know it would have been a lot smarter than let's try to magic the bats only to magic fluttershy instead. There 2 choices relocation for 1. For 2 the predator prey relationship.
