This story is a sequel to Ace's Spell Shop
Three months have passed since Ace and Twilight first got together, and Twilight has grown more and more nervous about their future. Ace has to perform the ritual to prolong his life, which he has only barely managed to complete in the previous two attempts. Should he fail a third time, his life may very well be forfeit...
Little is known about the very secretive ritual, normally meant only to be performed by ascended Alicorns, not Unicorns, and lesser still about the adverse effects that are caused when somepony fails to complete the ritual as intended. Ace's theory has always been that, should a Unicorn fail thrice in a row, then their magic will devour them from the inside out. Hopefully, that won't happen...
This book is a near-immediate sequel to the first in Ace and Twilight's series, Ace's Spell Shop. As with all of my stories, I am still working out what's going to happen as the book progresses, so I look forward to going on the same journey as all of you!
I just wanted to tell you that this series is one of my favorites on fanfiction and that I would be interested if you could have little sidestory chapters of what Ace and the princesses got up to in the olden days.

Thanks for the reply! In fact, I actually started a way-back-when story for the trio, but never actually finished it. Perhaps I'll work on it soon and post it up!

My thanks! And I assure you, I have no intention of halting the story before it's finished. At present, the story will not only be completed, but be a part of a trilogy! What happens after the third book, however, has not yet been considered...
Depending on how much ponies enjoy my stories, I may halt the story of Ace and Twilight after the third book and work on side stories or various other short stories instead.
But I digress, you have my thanks and I am ever so glad that you're enjoying my work! Your kind words are an ever-driving force akin to magic for me!

A good story, and your writing has greatly improved since the story's beggining. I'm rather interested in how this'll play out, even though the six months since updating plus three since your last login leave me doubtful.
If you're discouraged by a lack of readers, you should add more tags (dark, romance, sad, etc, depending on how the story goes) and put the story in more groups (something other than just the twilight shipping). You should also look into a pre-reader, as I'd noticed a few things that might be problems or damage the idea of the story (questions like "why would there be an EMP used to describe something in a setting where no pony knows what one is?", to something more plot oriented like "where is the rest of ace's horn and the cup used in the ritual?" or when frosting reoccurs in the story; they need answers even if the author refrains from telling the editor for a variety of reasons).

The story 5 years in the making! (Not really)
I'm working on the story again! After several hard drive wiping related issues (Curse you Windows 10) I've lost a lot of work, but I'm making up for it (with more work!) and I hope to see many of my old readers again, and maybe lots of new ones!
