Alex Stone (Lexi to the haters at his workplace) is a pizza delivery man who has been down on his luck recently. Between a rather brutal break up and his dead end job, he just can't seem to catch a break.
So imagine just how much more complicated his life gets when he runs over a changeling!
A funny story I wanted to write about Chrysalis and a human companion who takes her in following the events of "A Canterlot Wedding"
Rated Teen, for drinking, running over a Changeling, some cursing, a few immature jokes, and maybe a little innuendo (depends on if I feel like adding it.) and some other weird stuff.
(Note: After careful consideration, I decided that adding the Romance tag was necessary. Don't expect too much, though. I'm awful at writing romantic stories.)
So it took the cops a few hours to respond to a home invasion?
Oh wait! That's actually true.

3813027 First Off, I'm in the middle of exam week. This actually cuts into my writing time because I do most of my work on the school computer. So there won't be any updates for a little while. In addition, I'm also juggling a second story, so my writing is always divided. I apologize for these inconveniences.
As for chapter length. The chapters of my stories are always situated around a specific topic. We've got a chapter dedicated to him going to work. Another chapter dedicated to Chrysalis getting struck down and so on.

A Canterlot Wedding left us with a feeling similar to Israel after Yom Kippur in 1973. We won, but it felt like we'd lost.
3900769 An interesting way to look at things, for sure. Although, if the Changelings came back, they'd only do so with a much stronger love source, as Chrysalis would know that she would need to overpower both the Princesses as well as the elements of Harmony and Cadence's love. Someone would have had to fallen in love with Chryssie herself.
3901100 Unlikely, they have lost the element (if you'll pardon the pun) of surprise. The Changelings, what few survived the expulsion from Canterlot must now be struggling. From a realpolitik perspective, Chrysalis has two choices:
1) Find alternate food source. Difficult due to general dislike and hostility to Changelings for obvious reasons.
2) Negotiate. Attempt to form an alliance with another race for a mutual benefit.
As you say, she does have the option of one last role of the dice. The only real option that I can think of is the Crystal Empire. But that is protected by the Crystal Heart and I doubt even an airhead like Cadence will be caught napping twice.
We do not know, though many hypothesise, that the Changelings were starving prior to the wedding. I personally do not see this as likely. Chrysalis simply sought conquest for its own sake, upset the balance of power and paid the price. While I would like to see a continuation, I cannot really see how the writers can reintroduce Changelings, for their can certainly be no more infiltrations, and that is all they are really good at.
To my mind, in the canon universe, the Changelings are out of the equation. We still do not know for certain where the few survivors went. The flash of light was certainly no teleport and any landing would have been fatal for anypony. (I do not take the comics as canon.)
3901124 Chrysalis had a large amount of love when she was attacked. Its possible that she retained that love after her defeat, which would give her strength to rebuild the hive. But you're right, she probably wouldn't be able to attempt another attack right away. She does, however, have the ability to seed the population with changelings to keep her love supply up.
