When the Spirit of Christmas has left Blueblood, three spirits come to try and bring it back.

YAY POISON FRUITCAKE :D
Ponies celebrate Hearths Warming

better than that
3654094whats better?

The real holiday "Christmas
What is fruitcake made of mostly anyway?
So far it seems interesting although you've got a few grammar errors here and there. The story seems to imply that blueblood would of been all for decorating and such as of last year but not this one so something last christmas must of really been terrible to make him just hate it out the blue this year.
3654182they're the same. Both are celebrated with candy canes and gingerbread houses in winter. The episode with the pageant was the Christmas special.

Who's to say that traditions aren't spreading to different holidays?
Where I'm from, we have a traditional holiday called Martinstag. Kids go to different houses, sing traditional songs and get candy. On Halloween, they also go around and get candy.

Well to be honest I never saw that episode
I don't blame Blueblood one bit. He feels Celestia doesn't really need him for Hearth's Warming (that's what I'm going to call it) anymore. If I was him, I wouldn't bother with celebrating this holiday anyway. What's the point of going to the same celebration every year and getting disappointed?
Quick question: Did Celestia and Twilight actually hear what Blueblood said as he stormed out, or did he say all that after he left the room? It should make a difference.

They both heard him as he left and felt bad, the rest will be explained in the next chapter
What I'm getting from this chapter, is that the reason Blueblood could never put the star on the tree was because she couldn't find anyone else to help with the decorations? This confuses me. Couldn't Celestia have waited until everything was done to put the star on the tree? I always thought the star was the last thing to happen.

it's a little thing that she does to make everything, even the star, perfect. Since technology wasn't invented yet, She had to rely on magic, but she couldn't do it alone, she needed ponies with more control to help her
So, from what I'm understanding, the Hearth's Warming celebration was cancelled. That's what Blueblood is shown.
...
I was expecting a little more than that. Blueblood doing the whole 'I can change' bit after seeing everyone arguing. I understand the holidays are more than what you get. However, Bluey has been looking forward to putting the star on that tree since Twilight was Celestia's new student. I hope there is at least a little twist at the end.
Merry Christmas!

Tis the season, or... was the season. A couple weeks ago. haha
One pertinent correction you may want to make though:
he one thing I had about Christmas
he one thing I hate about Christmas
That ain't true, Applejack. Some of us prefer Halloween.
