The author's notes at the end of each chapter about how cute Soarin' was are very jarring. You don't need to say that. There are also quite a few errors in terms of grammar and other aspects which really detracted from the story. If you can't write without error, get an editor. Final point is that you remember the old adage, "Show, don't tell." You're doing far too much telling.
This was the first adult foal story I read where it was a colt, nice change of pace.
