This is a nice, sweet little story. I have a sneaking suspicion as to who those two fillies are, but it'd be needless to say here since I'm probably the last one to get it.

Yep. Their earlier incarnations. Little Moondreamer is the one who grows up to marry Dusk Skyshine, and eventually be reborn as Luna Selena Nyx.

This one didn't quite click for me. I'm not sure why, as the concept was nice and the fillies were adorable. Science is also good, as is ice cream! Maybe it's just that I'm so FiM-centric that anything more car-like than the FlimFlamMobile just feels strange. (I get the same feeling when watching canon Tales episodes.) A perfectly good story on its own merits; just not one that did much for me.
