First off:
"outwitted the ghast" AN ERROR! FOR SHAME!
But nah, this was a cute and fun little scene thingy. It introduces a lovely character I'd like to see again and shows that side of FoE we never really see much of: The regular folks who don't have piles of dead parents and trauma. Is refreshing.
I hope you do more with it or at least keep trying out the ya' olde' writing thing.
