If you're going to have your surprise twist as something that totally destroys the show why should I care about your story since I essentially know nothing of the Equestria you're writing?
no one knows who the Founder of the place is. And they use amnesiacs on people who quit?
And they actually believe they're doing good.
You'd think they'd let people quit after the orientation if they wanted to instead of making them wait a year.
