Nathan Samuel is a normal guy. Decent grades in college, a girlfriend, an apartment, and a stable source of income. That much he thinks he's sure of. One fateful day, however, the spellwork of a curse surrounding everyone he knows suddenly drops from around him, and he is able to remember who he is: Nova Shine, the Night Master of Princess Luna.
Meanwhile, a coalition of villains to Equestria has been assembled to keep things in check. Queen Chrysalis, whose job it is to use her changeling forces to prevent any kind of organized uprising; Sombra, who was the one who cast the memory curse in the first place, is to keep it in check; Discord, who is doing little more than standing for back-up; and Nightmare Moon, watching the Elements personally and reporting back to their mysterious "benefactor."
Following a conversation with Princess Celestia, Nova now knows what he needs to do to return to Equestria. The Elements of Harmony were restored to the Tree of Harmony, but the spirits of the Elements live on in their Bearers. With all six of them unable to remember who they are, and worse, with all six hating each other, Nova Shine now has to work to restore the Elements, and in the process try to make his fiancée fall in love with him again, to return all of them to their home.

Well, it might take some time before the next one happens. I got final exams in three weeks, and I have two classes whose passing grades are hanging in the balance, so... priorities and all.
I'm just glad to have the Season 3 stuff out of the way. A kinda confusing, borderline HiE fic is just what I need right now. And how nice that it's been gift wrapped by the great Rytex himself.

This is going to be good! The first chapter already raises a lot of questions, why does Sombra help Nova? Does Chryssie stil remember Nova from his time in the past? And who is Natalie (my guess is Envy)?

I thought a bit about it and I think a already know the answers. If we can believe the first story Sombra can see into the future. And when he sees the chance to get more than just a village full of pony's turned human he will grab it.
Only problem is that Discord surprised Sombra when they found Nova and Twilight. Is Discord so random that even Sombra couldn't predict him?

You say it like you could give me a ten second prompt and I could write the entire finale action sequence from The Dark Knight. Its not terribly easy for me (for goodness sake, the club fight scene was supposed to be a lot longer, but Nova didn't want to fight), but all I do is let the characters react and battle like they would.

You are going to be waiting a long time. I wen over how I think the chapters are going to go down from here last night, and I think I'm only about halfway through. It's taken me a year and a half just to get halfway through this bad boy. But then, I'm also juggling a rewrite of Apprentice, Starbound, school, work, etc. etc. Last time I went all out on writing in a semester, I passed only two classes.

But I absolutely love your writing, you should be publishing books. Speaking of which, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to download the first story and take it to a local print shop and have it turned into a one-off book to keep at my house.
