3445749 but the point is he did worse to Rarity than you seem to know that you see, not only did he get her attention but once he did he continuously ignored her, resented her, and brushed her off, and I'm certain Celestia wasn't pleased. that was more than humiliation that he'd done to Rarity. I'd say total humiliation is a fitting punisment especially for his jealousy of Twilights rise to nobility and a place among the rulers of Equestria and mocking her name he deserves it. I better stop before things get to dramatic.

This is what I don't get, Blueblood's one major episode has him pretty much unbothered by Rarity's delusions and instead turning her expectations around on her, and somehow he's some kind of heinous monster?

I think most folks are actually angry because of the "my royal lips" line. That sentence created more resentment, I believe, than the entire rest of the episode. Interestingly enough, going by how he was presented therein, I could see most of this story happening.
The big exception is the whole 'insulting Luna by calling her Nightmare scum' thing. That's completely out of place. Why would he do that? She's family, she's his aunt, she's a natural Alicorn princess. The only explanation the story provides is "he's dumb", but frankly, it feels more like a blunt attempt to make us hate him. Plus, right afterwards, Celestia hoofs him across the face. Princess Celestia smacks a guy because he was insulting. Telling him off is one thing, but getting physical?

...You know, I've never seen anyone explore the idea that Blueblood resents Luna because Luna was a genocidal moon goddess who hurt his Aunt Celly. It could actually add depth to his character; he can't be the only pony leery around the Princess who was willing to condemn the entire world to a slow, freezing death just because she was feeling pissy.
Okay. I take it many users are not a fan of my portrayal of Blueblood. But I am going to (hopefully) change your view on that in the next two or so chapters. Spoilers: Next chapter is backstory, and will be a less brattish Blueblood also featuring Celestia.

Sorry, but this is horribly rushed. The events are flung together and make little sense, and there was no emotional impact whatsoever. You spent all of ten lines on Blueblood's mother dying, and there was no personal reflection on Blueblood's part at all. Finally, the conclusion is not funny, dramatic or even decent. Thumbs down.
Interesting chapter.. well until the twist at the end, I'm sorry but it does NOT make any sense and seems well.. out of context for the story. You explained some of Blueblood's history, show his formal rival has gone insane and then... twist that makes no sense in the context of the story?

I'm sorry. But I just did a bit of editing. So Blueblood grieves more and talks with his father. If any one suggests anything else to better this story I would love some ideas!
The revised 2nd chapter should be up tomorrow, I just thought that it should be edited a bit. If you have already read and didn't like the original second chapter, please read the revised one and let me know if it is better.
