I lost my favorite pencil once,
i still havent fully recoved from the emotional trauma.
Question: Is the part were the younger sibling comes and gives new writing instrument based on real life event or just added to fill a bit the story?
Other question: Will there be another part were she wants to apologies to spike, but over-react thinking he wont forgive her?
I could picture Twilight swearing profusely and as loud as possible after that.

This is why I tie a long floressent pink string to my writting instruments. They become impossible to lose, and are rarely stolen or "borrowed" without permission
advantage of being an art student, you're never far from about umpteen billion pens and a few pencils too :p
1. You set the tone of the story within the first two paragraphs. It’s going to be one of those mock-serious types of humor stories, which I believe is one of the more common types.
2. I can feel what Twilight is feeling and this is a very good way to get the reader into what you are trying to show them.
3. This is a simple, yet relatable conflict. I personally have done this a few times and even placed my pencil on my ear and then search everywhere franticly only for it to fall onto the floor. It’s a very funny story that is simple but effective.
1. Going with Lesson Zero, maybe you could’ve done more with how Twilight was racing around looking for her lost quill. But as she has learned to control that through the lessons of the show, I’m a little 50/50 on that. It would’ve added a bit more comedy but at a risk of losing the personal connection that many readers may feel to this read.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading every word of this one-shot. It held up very well from beginning to end and I actually laughed a bit at the end. The only real bit of criticism I could give for this had to come from a bit of analytical thoughts and opinions so I’ll keep that to that, just an opinion. But it still doesn't take away from what this was all about and I praise you for that.

I would say I can relate, but whenever I lose my pencil, I just dig into my extensive supply of spare parts and build myself a new one.
