"The wort is always yet to come."
-Tangerine Blast

Ouch, that's child abuse right then and there! :pinkiesad2:

And years later Pinkie's parents were shocked when they learned about this:

Little did they know that they created the monster. :pinkiecrazy:

This is so sad :fluttercry:

3401735 Nah, you're not. I was just being trolltastic :trollestia:. I'll read this when I have the chance later.

Eh.

Not poorly written, just generic as balls.

I liked it. Short and good, but sad :pinkiecrazy:

This is one of the first fan fics in this site that I genuinely like.

good stories doesn't have to be as long as a novel

See the problem with this being a one shot is that it can't be cannon, basically ever unless you assume that Pinkie lied to everypony? If that is the case then you really should keep writing more chapters to lead up to that, so we know her story. Otherwise this kind of makes no sense... sorry. :twilightblush: I mean you could just assume the Cakes took her in and that's fine and dandy, but a follow up would be nice. This has got to be the hundredth one shot story I have read that needs a follow up chapter or chapters.

"Why do we fall? so we can learn to pick ourselves up."
This quote fits this perfectly
:pinkiecrazy:

3404129 Are you sure it isn't "Why so serious?" :pinkiecrazy:

3404375
I actually was going to say that, but somepony beat me to it. :raritycry:

3404375
Why would you beat me WAHHHH :raritycry:

3404381>>3404384 I already posted a video of it, though I couldn't find the one I wanted (I think it got taken down). Anyway I just had to do it, that other quote would've fit more if Pinkie's family saw the error of their ways (which they didn't).

3401839 I think your just jealous that your stories aren't as awesomesauce. :ajsmug:

3407493 Talk to me after your stories get onto EqD.

I'm pretty confident that Pinkie's family really isn't like this... But all the same the abuse and neglect gets at you all the same. I thought it portrayed her emotion rather well and ended on a sad, but rather hopeful note. For a second there I was afraid he was just gonna take her out into the fields and abandon her. Still, that latter was just so harsh and cruel. There are so many people who just get rid of their children because they're simply too much to handle or aren't what they wanted. Depending on the country this could be at any young age. Finally even in the end that last bit strikes a heart cord as she declares he love for her family still all the same. That's what Pinkie Pie is there, she loves unconditionally.
