I won't pretend I'm not a sucker for "little orphan annie" stories. The Orphan's Ordeal is a classic, and it works dang well. I'm not sure "sad" works as the right tag for this. maybe they need a new tag: "Heartwarming" and "tearjerker"?

Nothing bad about this chapter at all... except, really, I was hoping for more of Pipsqueak when he was, well, a pipsqueak. It's heartbreaking that he did all his growing up in between two chapters.
