Ever since Discord was reformed, Princess Celestia disallowed him to leave his room outside of important business. Naturally, this causes him to grow bored very easily. One day, as he looked through his belongings, he found a strange hoofball with its own universe. Having an idea to spice his life, he invites Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, the Mane 6, and 7 other ponies for a series of hoofball games. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be fun had turned into a horrible situation, where the power of chaos drives everypony to care only about winning. Now, faced with this situation, each player is playing for more than just a simple victory.

Well, now that I have read up to this point, I guess I should try and form an opinion.
First, Strikers is a game I have never played, but I am very familiar with with soccer and with Mario sport games.
I don't know what other writing you do, but in this story, the narrative improves very fast after the first chapters. I cannot say what exactly I found wrong with the prologue, but it made me stop several times, and even considered leaving the reading for a later moment. That's the chapter you should pay attention to the next time you go back to what you have already written and looking what can be improved. But from there, it goes all up, and by now it has reached a point where it flows very well when I'm reading it.
Continue the way you are going now.
Now the ponies have seen that in this game, death is not permanent, but they have also seen that ponies can end hurt anyways. I don't really see them wanting to continue with the game, seeing as it makes them want to hurt each other.
And now an opinion, not about this story but about any sports-based fiction. Maybe because I am from a country where soccer is the ultimate sport, and Captain Tsubasa being an important anime during my childhood; but I don't find the appeal in matches where the player or team we are rooting for is about to lose, and during their last play they score enough points to surpass their opponents, just as the clock reaches zero.Maybe I have just seen north american sports fiction using the "if we score, we win, and if we don't, we lose" thing too many times. Just wanted to say that.
