The Starship Enterprise has encountered a spacial anomaly. Sure enough, Q stops by to, ahem, "lend a hand" with investigating it. It couldn't be more obvious he knows something Captain Piccard doesn't. When the two, Commander Riker, and Data go to investigate the anomaly, they find that it's a dimensional rift that leads to Equestria.
Meanwhile, in Pasadena, California, Sheldon Cooper and Raj Koothrappali get into a fandom war over John de Lancie. Sheldon representing the Trekkies and Raj representing the Bronies. However, an "imbalance" as John describes, causes the two warring nerds to be sent to Equestria, where a great battle is about to take place not dissimilar to the one they thought they were having not moments before.
Three worlds collided for a reason, and that reason could easily spell the end of existence as we know it...
