This was already posted on EqD early last year, but I'm adding all my old stories to FIM Fiction.
The tags make this look worse than it is. I considered rewriting this story to replace the (fairly mild) drug references with something like the show's salt licks, but I felt that would undermine Markie and Gilda's struggle so the references stay and the whole story gets the "Dark" tag and teen rating.

I have to agree with you. The drug references seem incredibly out of place, otherwise, it was an entertaining read, although short.
Damn, this is Death Note level of planning and manipulation. Which means I can really appreciate this story

I liked it! I'm not sure if it means much because I do get easily impressed, but it made me gasped and it made me cheer and anything that can make me get lost in my emotion is a fantastic story in my head. So thumbs up for you!

After "A Friend In Deed", it's not so far-fetched as it might have seemed back when you wrote this...
Wonderful stry overall. I just can't quite get into the characterizations and portrayals. It 's. A really good story but the characters' personalities just don't jibe.
I sure wan't expecting that ending, but if Pinkie can twist the laws of physics, then she can twist just about anything to her advantage. Great story.
