Amazing as always. But I'm curious as to why this wasn't all one chapter?

Like I said in the first one's AN, the tone I was going for was different and I thought they were better apart.
Looks like this section skipped the editor

Thanks for the catch

Glad I could help
Awwww, the feelings!
I might not have been following the rest of the Equestrian chapters quite as closely, but this was somewhat of an... odd chapter? (Counting both parts as one here). I mean, you are showing how she's been dealing with the passing of time, I suppose, but it just didn't feel like it was entirely needed to keep the story moving? /shrug
4327834 Well, we've been seeing how Celestia has been pushing Equestria forward, how the land and its peoples have grown and changed. We've seen the introduction of important new characters such as Twilight and Dash, and how they've been feeling.
We've seen Luna, Nim and Sarah grow as well.
We've seen all these characters at their best, and at their worst, all save for Tia.
These chapters were simply set in to show us the one character we didn't have that knowledge on, and the inclusion of that is to show that while we may forget certain characters, the author doesn't.
Besides, knowing the inner workings of a goddesses' mind? You should feel special haha.
Why do I get the feeling Luna and Nim will return to Equestria before Sara finishes her mission? Plus, we still have the DLC's to get through.
4327592 oh, i didn't see that
<same as the last chapter>

The way I look at it, she's not treating it as a pastime or a tool. She sees them all as loves and companions and has errecreted this hall to their memory. Even if she only knew them for a month they all meant the same amount to her in her heart. At least, that's what I was going for, I guess I could have missed my mark.
This chapter might be "about" sex (not really), but dang if it isn't some awesome character development. Poor Celestia. I wonder if the alicorn mutation is always that way. I suppose we should hope so for the sake of the other ponies, considering they would likely all be displaced if they could breed at the same rate. Maybe those teenage years wouldn't have produced anything, but goodness all those lovers. Hundreds and hundreds of them. The price for such a long life, I suppose. Another awesome chapter!

Yeah, being immortal isn't all it's cracked up to be. And thank you for being one of the few people to see the point of these chapters
When I first read Old Flames, I was prepared for bumping uglies between Tornado and Celestia. After Cracked Porcelain, I got one of the most spectacular character driven chapters I've ever read. A clever name for a clever chapter. You somehow managed to create a romance driven sub-arc, all while infusing melancholic and bittersweet undertones of everything that immortality hasn't cracked up to be. It's brilliant, really. Celestia conditioned herself into doing what she thought was best for everyone, and in turn completely forgot that her lovers don't care about mortality. Tornado Kicker did a fantastic job of seeing straight through Celestia's facade, as well as managing to slap (literally and figuratively) some sense into her, all without overdoing what you were trying to convey. After Luna was gone, I could tell Celestia has been shutting out anyone for fear of losing them as she did her sister, and I understand how that led to Celestia's current distant, queenly disposition. But, now that she is learning to let ponies in, things have taken a turn. You've really outdone yourself with this one. I hardly ever mean it when I say it, but this is flawless. There is actually nothing wrong with this that I can see. All in all, this chapter gets a 10/10. Be proud of yourself.

Alright, we've had our serious chapters, can we see some Twilight and Rainbow antics now for some laughs????

Thanks so much, it's very nice to hear that you saw everything that I put into it... it makes me really happy to hear that.

Next Equestria chapter, I think you'll like it

I cannot possibly write a better or more accurate comment than this
Wait, Celestia's infertile? I could have sworn that she was secretly the mother of General Blueblood the Second though...
4330256
Nope, her father was just a lover of hers for a time. She avoided the son for two reasons 1: making love to him would have been rather creepy after doing it with his father. 2: She knew Clover's daughter had a thing for him.
Hope that cleares up the confusion.

I update at least twice a week most of the time, or sometimes once a day if I'm up to it, so don't worry, you'll probablly always have something to read.
I have seen the light of these chapters.
Not sure what it is, but it sure is fuckin bright.
Yeah, immortality is very hard to bear alone. Luckily it seems Celestia has kept companions that stave off the long-suffering-depression syndrome.
One reunion scenario we've been toying with is where Luna returns and glomps Celestia before she even gets to demonstrate what she's been doing for the last millennia. This of course leaves her beloved unguarded and exposed whereupon the guards prepare to defend against the threat of evil (that have been raised to believe the other realm which Luna was in had enemies, the whole reason for her "venture" after all), and begin a nice round of comedic relief for us the dear readers. ;)
Of course, I'm not the author, so we'll just have to wait and see, eh?
Keep going! ;)
hmm... If NM is now... 'good'(?)
then even if celestia would use elements on her, they might not work, as both nightmare and luna learned or relearned value of friendship by now. Hell, NM currently resides in Saras's mind instead of Luna's.
I wonder what will happen when she resturns.
Oh, Tornado Kicker, brother of Cloudkicker, I presume?
4331727
I'm actually assuming that he's an older cusin or maybe uncle. Mostly because at the moment he's in his late twenties and she's probably 8
Yes! caught up! :D
Awww man, I feel so bad about Celestia, much hugs! *glomps her again* I feel ya pain.
Heheheheh, that last part though, that made me chuckle a bit X3 heheeh! XD
Good show once more my friend and awesome job on this ^^
Also, like I saw in some comment,s will you be doing any of the DLC's? (there may have been a answer, but I didn't see it cause I'm dumb~ XD) Like Broken Steel or Point Lookout?
Also, back to my question from an earlier chapter, would you mind if I were to PM you it? :3 you can say no~
Well, anyways, good show, awesome work and amazing job my friend. I honestly cannot wait for the next chapter :)
Keep it up! Your friend.

Anyone who comments on almost every chapter of my story can definitely pm me with a question or two, heh
4338626
Did I miss a chapter? \)OoO)\ Nuu~
But okay~ :3
This chapter was depressing, mainly because I hate reminders of my own mortality.
4518794 Dying sucks, because it means you can't do stuff anymore.
4565876 poetic, I love it, mind if I quote it?
4565876 I believe Charles Lee Ray once said: "Dying is such a bitch!"
4872869 ...you know, My great-great Grandfather once told me: "Immortality is something all men strive for, but very few ever truly need it"
6022394 Unless the love of my life is immortal, I don't want it.
6920980
Immorality is a curse and a blessing. You stand the test of time but those who you truly love slowly wither and die as you stay there. Never changing, just there. Time passing you, but doing nothing.
10055951
Those we love wither and die whether we're immortal or not. We either learn to pick up the pieces and continue on, or we don't last long after them.
The curse of immortality is not loss; if anything, it will be ennui. Boredom. I could see the day coming when everything just seems so predictable and vapid that it becomes pointless... but then again, who knows how long that would take?
10285462
True, but at least we as mortals will one day join them in the afterlife when our time runs out. Such is not the case for immortals.
11226792
That presumes there is an afterlife. Which does suggest that someone that doesn’t so believe would probably be quite a bit more willing to gain immortality, having not much to lose beyond oblivion.
