... no one sees the tears they shed. Just a piece of plastic with a forced smile on it. Of course, being a toy makes the idea of emotions questionable, but what if there's more than just a child's plaything behind that mass-produced figure?

Based on the three blind bags resting on my shelf (the only MLP merch I own), and the question why I even bought the one this story is about, as well as this song.

Very deep, gave me a lot to mull over in my mind.
Thank Kaidan for linking this, I've thoroughly enjoyed existential fics, and this is a well crafted example. :pinkiehappy:
I'm gonna go listen to trance and ponder my existence now.

It all really depends on their environment. Sometimes they really do get along better with each other if they're someplace safe.

Wow, that's looking cool! I'm almost tempted to write about that picture. Unfortunately, I vowed to never write anything about MLP merchandise again. :V

Someone wrote a Toy Story/FiM toy crossover for Yuletide over on Archive Of Our Own. Little short thing about the Twilight Sparkle toy trying to use magic while dealing with Jessie's round-up skills.

But yes, it's hard to do show-related stuff with merch

A bit depressing (but expected, considering the labels), but really well-written. I don't think I'll be able to see blindbags the same way again whenever I walk through my local stores!

That was very different. I enjoyed it :)
A pretty depressing look into life from the point of view of a collectors toy.
It kind of makes me feel guilty for not playing with my blind bag ponies. lol

I imagine the idea of feeling but still immobile beings like the toy in this story as pointlessly cruel. Like . . . what would even be the poin of experiencing negative stimuli if you can't respond or react to them? What would the point of being alive be if you can't interact with your environment at all? It seems more like a punishmened designed for the hellbound sinners, fallen angels or imprisoned gods.

so what dose this mean from the toys we own? :(

Now I want to pull my blind bag collection out of the dresser drawer they're in and hug them. ;_; Hugging 100+ tiny plastic ponies would not be easy.
