This story is a sequel to The Night String and The Servants of The Phoenix

This is a collection of short vignettes that occur sometime during The Night String's many missions but either I have yet to find a suitable place for them in a story, or they will never properly fit into one.

If I use one of these scenes (or a variation thereof), I will remove the corresponding chapter from this story.

I will add main characters as I use them, excluding any that are already credited in "The Night String and the Servants of the Phoenix" and up to the usual limit of 5.

I tried to make it so that reading, The Night String and the Servants of the Phoenix isn't required to understand these chapters, but it might increase your enjoyment of them.

Shouldn't there be an OC tag, for Night String?

"The Night String" isn't a single pony. It's a group of ponies, none of which are OC. Though now I'm curious as to who you would interpret to be that character.

3647882 Well, Night String. The way it's written you make it sound like Night String is one person.

Ah, I see where you're looking now. I forgot to capitalize the "The" so I can see how you might skim past it and think it was one pony. I'll fix it now.

I happened to be skimming through the New Stories section the day you've published this and I immediately recognized all those knots and strings themes even before I clicked on the story itself (so I guess your writing is quite memorable)! Today I finally read it and I can honestly say that this short piece was a good read. I'm not a big fan of Lightning Dust but... darn those fixed points in time...

And there's no need to apologize! Just take your time - when you'll find some I will be out there, eagerly anticipating new chapters of your original story. Or short pieces like this. :raritywink:

I'm glad you found it (and found it entertaining).
I know it seems silly to apologize, but remembering that there are people out there waiting to read what I write helps me to write faster and more often. Apologizing for a lack of chapters is kind of a part of making that motivation more tangible.
Anyway, look forward to more!
