Just trying to stay true to her character. Chrysalis is a bitch. There's no other way of saying it. But the thing is, she likes being a bitch and she has fun being a bitch. So disguised or not, that character trait is gonna assert itself.
She's the Queen of the Changelings, why let stealth get in the way of her fun? And I gotta tell you, because of that fact, she's a lot of fun to write.
She's that delicious kind of evil where you sometimes think "Yeah, I wanna be able to piss on people like that and get away with it."

Actually it's the size of the Senate in ancient Rome, which is where Star Wars no doubt got it from. (Star Wars does this a lot, referencing ancient cultures to build their backstory out of. Jedi are very much samurai, if you get right down to it.)

I never intended to draw this out too long. I've planned this ending from the start and while I could have maybe added another chapter or two, it would have just needlessly convoluted the story. Sometimes it's best to quit while you're ahead.
