The Mentally Unstable Wing of the Ponyville Hospital has been shut down due to the tortured patients, horrid food, and no therapy what so ever, which included the Princess of the Night herself.
The rest of the hospital continues in business, but had to have a complete replacement staff, due to the secrets of the Wing. The original staff is now waiting to be judged by Princess Celestia, Princess Cadence, Princess Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor of Equestria. We are still deciding if Princess Luna shall join the rest of the royals as a judge.
Although the Wing was in the hospital's basement, it was once an actual part of the Hostipal, using it to care for the Insane with kindness, giving them therapy and healthy food.
The knowledge of Derpy Whooves's whereabouts are unknown, only to have gone with a mysterious stallion in a police call box. The police call box is nowhere to be found.
Pinkamena Pie, otherwise known as Pinkie Pie, has willingly taken Screw Loose into her home, welcoming the new 'dog' to the Cake family.
"If she believes she is a dog, that's okey dokey with me. I will love her no matter who she is." Pinkie Pie's answer to our questioning of Screw Loose.
The pink mare has taken a fonding of Screw Loose, who is now taken on walks and fed properly.
Screwball has become dear friends with Discord, who is still reformed. Screwball has also agreed to stop by Sugarcube Corner to watch Screw Loose while Pinkie and the Cake family are at work. Screw Loose and Screwball get along very well, due to their time together in the Mentally Unstable Wing.
Our dear Princess Luna is seeking advice from her sister as we speak, wanting to get rid of the inner Nightmare Moon. She seems to be doing well and lively, no longer the sad quiet mare she was once in the Wing. She had once blamed her sister for the presence of her at the Wing, but seems to have forget about her troubles. I am sitting before the two sisters, who are chatting away happily, telling jokes and eating cake and cookies with their tea.
Mind Twist is now being treated in therapy. Surprisingly, she is doing very well and only has sudden, violent outbursts occasionally. She will continue the therapy until her outbursts are stopped. She has been asking of her parent's whereabouts lately. We are still deciding when and how to tell her of her parent's death. She seems to have no memory of their tragic accident, only to think that they are out there somewhere, waiting for her to come home.
End of report.

Well at least it's a happy ending. I this story. Thank you for writing it.
3270582 You're welcome!!!!
can not wait for sequals
i guess those would be prequals but i would love stories on what happens AFTER the hospital
I liked this story immensely. Good job writing it!
you should change it to complete if it is finished
Hmm...
I feel that I must ask...
Would it be possible for me to use a part of this in a brief, possibly one-shot, fic involving a psychopathic OC?
One reason is, when I read about the pony obsessed with blood, my OC was who I immediately thought of.
The basic premise right now is this is while my OC is in an asylum in Canterlot, he is payed a visit by Pinkie, who's going around making sure no other places are doing what she went through. Basically, they talk, and he probably will mention some things about the place that might make Pinkie think (one of my canon things for this OC is that he always states that his time in the asylum only made him more violent and unstable).
I don't know, probably won't actually do it, but I thought it would be an interesting idea, so I figured I'd ask in case I ever felt like it.
Anyway, pretty good story. Felt just a tad bit too fast on the escape and shut down, but still good all the same.
3274179 sure go ahead!! That's actually a great idea!!!
That was way shorter than expected oh well.
You can't call it a tragedy if it has a happy ending.
Isn't it 'Pinkamena Diane Pie'?

It can still be one nonetheless...
This story was good, but I feel it has much potential that wasn't harnessed. One of my biggest gripes is that the ending was too clean. When you go through something like they did, it stays with you. You can still live your life, yes, but it doesn't happen over night. It also could have been longer, or even had a sequel detailing their recoveries.
4678317 It can't be a tragedy, but it does have tragic events in it.
Friends with discord haw about discord and fluttershys kid huh
I liked this story a lot, but I agree with LeprechaunPoni about some missed potential. In fact, I have a huge question this chapter failed to answer: How did the wing for the mentally unstable become cruel and unaccomodating, a degradation from its former caring environment? More importantly, why did this happen?
When I began reading this story, I had hopes of the wing finding some reformation. I did wonder if the living conditions and treatment were always this way but nothing gave a hint of a former state of being. Having read this chapter, I admit to feeling disappointed instead of joyful. Given the lack of any explanation, belated if it were present, I almost prefer the wing to have been a static presence of cruelty from the start.
