A Series of Unfortunate Events is one of my favorite book series of all times, and The Grim Grotto is my second favorite book (right after The Ersatz Elevator), so naturally, a crossover was due with the best sea captain in children's literature.

Is it bad that the only reason I can think of for Celestia needing the sugar bowl would be for it's intended purpose? Also, it's been many a year since I've read this fantastic series (unfortunately losing some of the books as well), could you jog my memory as to what the sugar bowl's purpose was, besides a MacGuffin for a few books?
