Of Sombra Tango - King of the Crystal Kingdom and the last of the Tango royal line - little is known. Only two ponies alive have ever really met him, and of those two, one ensured no trace of him or his actions remained within Equestria.

So imagine her surprise when Princess Twilight Sparkle discovers the old Del Tango royal section in the library. Filled with ancient tomes and scrolls, the hidden chamber and the information it contains is a veritable treasure trove of history.

Of course Twilight can't help but be drawn to a particular blue book, it's cover spangled with stars, resting on a pedestal in the center of the room.

Haven't read any fics about Sombra yet, so this should be good, especially with the amount of visualization. I'm just wondering whether Twilight will be forced into the past inside the book (maybe think of something original?), or if it will somehow become two separate storylines.

Guess you'll have to wait and see :D

Hmm, interesting.
This has potential. Let's see where it goes.

I appreciate the interest.

"Well, maybe somepony tried to tell me, but you know how it is. Working in a library and when I hear the word Princess I automatically assume they're talking about some fairy tale they've recently read."

Kinda weird considering who rules the Chrystal Empire...

It's more the fact she is surrounded by princesses in fairy tales more often. We have princesses in real life, but I still assume a story when someone talks about a Princess.

Uhm... you are using thy and thine in the exact opposite way of their meaning. They are both based on the word thou which means you. Thy and thine both more or less mean 'your' in a possessive sense though they are used depending upon how they come up in a sentence.

Also, its being deaf not death when you can't hear.

For a short moment, I was hoping that Twilight would be forced to stay inside the story. That might cause her friends to eventually find the book (and possibly Twilight's unconscious/lifeless body), and enter the story too, only to be put inside another character. I don't know if this makes any sense, it probably doesn't (how would they even interact?). I guess it is better the way you wrote it.
Since Twilight is not forced to stay inside the book (at least that is what your last paragraph implies, I believe), I wonder if the action will take place solely as history from Starswhirl's perspective, witnessed by Twilight. I should probably stop speculating and read the next chapter when it comes out.

If you want some hints for the stories progression. Think about the Assassins creed where the modern character finds out the company is the templars. :D

And thank you so much for reading and enjoying, I love readers commenting.

Oh, please don't give me hints in comments. In incomplete stories, I find it so much more interesting to gather hints from the story itself and speculate, or read what the other readers speculate, only to get either pleasantly surprised or satisfyingly confirmed in the next chapter. (Of course, it is none of my business if you give hints to anyone else.)
And I really liked the Assassin's Creed games.

next chapter might be a week or two, got a chapter for my House in Equestria story to do first :D
