This story taught me that I did not go far enough with my own "horrific inversion of classic Lyra-based trope" story. c.c I loved every minute of this. Oddly, what I would have toned down was not the gore (the ending is perfect) but the swearing. >.> What? Anyway, you've got "The mares stared at each." in there that you might wanna fix. This is probably the best pony horror story I've ever read, though.
