I like it... I really do. As a reader I found it quite intresting with how you presented the events as they unfolded. I found that your block of text though was tough to get at times. Especially the dialogue. May I kindly suggest that you space it like this:

i found it interesting that Nightmare Moon knew about his past. maybe illusion had something to do with nightmare... or maybe he was nightmare before Luna turned into her.

to answer you human name question i say Axel for first name and for his last name keep Foley i like it plus it's a clever way to reference a great movie plus i've grown rather fond of his equestrian name and it feels uncomfortable calling him something else
