My real name is Tyler M. Terry. I'm an amateur writer trying to go pro who likes to write fanfiction when I have nothing better to do.

An unknown stallion, dubbed Bass Chord by Princess Luna, awakens in the world of Equestria dazed and confused as to how he got there. Stranger even is the fact that he is unfamiliar what he refers too as his "new body", claiming that he wasn't always a pony. While researching ways to send him home, Celestia decides to send him to Ponyville with Twilight Sparkle and not only learn about Equestria, but to also teach Twilight and the others as much as he can about his own world to help him both pass the time, and to give everyone a better understanding of the universe.

Cover art created by me with my less than stellar image editing skills. It's crap, but I needed it.

I like it! I can't wait for the next chapter! (Please be soon! :derpytongue2: )

This may be tad bit negative in opinion, but I really do want to express it concerning your story. The concept of your own character in Equestria is a fantastic idea (heck, it's a great idea creating fresh stories rather then using original show characters). But the concept of having a newly made character with the Mane six seems kind of counter to what the whole idea of creating an OC. I heavily suggest having your character go on their own adventures and flesh out their own personality instead of hanging around ponies who already have that going in the official show. I've really wanted to express this to other authors before, and in no way is this a personal attack on you or your ideas. I mean, I did the same exact thing with my first fic story, and looking back, it really was fun to write, just didn't seem to have the quality I wanted. IDK, this might just be me rambling, but I really do encourage you to give your character more individual attention, he deserves it.

I actually agree. I for one just find fanfiction really hard to tackle, so I try to make it as easy as I can. I'm more accustomed to writing original content with my own rules and worlds. Fanfiction is what I fall back one when I hit a writer's block. I'm currently writing a fantasy story that I'm stuck on, so until I figure that out I'm kind of goofing off here. I'm hoping to make a more serious fan fic eventually, and I may even reuse Bass Chord for that, but as it stands I'm sticking with this. Thanks for the feedback, btw. I always appreciate constructive criticism.

I should have known.
I. Should. Have. Known.:pinkiehappy:

He looked around nervously. Suddenly, a quote from his favorite animated show came to mind. “T-that’s classified!”

At least he didn't say "That...is a secret."

You know, I SHOULD have quoted The Slayers. Xellos is a secret keeping bastard!

i cant recall if you ever described what race bass is, and i didnt see anything when i skimmed the first few chapters, so what race is he?

Oh dear, i must have forgotten to mention it. He's an earth pony. Thank you for bringing that up, I'll have to correct that.

I was going to give you ten chapters for Trixie to show up. If she didn't I was going to move on. Now that she is here, I will now actually read this story.

Well, of course she was going to show up. She's Trixie. What else could possibly happen? :trixieshiftright:

Thanks for putting up with this Trixieless story till now, though. I have plans for her. :ajsmug:

I like the references in this story.

and

Anyway, can't wait for the ‘Welcome Potential Friend Trixie to Ponyville Party’.

"Never bet more than you can afford to lose."
Good luck trying to get a band together, Bass...You will need it. BTW, are you trying to ship Trixie with Bass?

3423135
Potentially. I'm working the kinks out of it, so there's not a definite answer for that. There's also the potential Bass X Twilight pairing as well.

I ran the gauntlet of emotions with this story. Especially, with the interaction between Lyra and Bass. THAT was powerful.

I love 'Lunar: The Silver Star Story'. I have the Sega CD and the PS-one versions, as well as the sequel. Anyway, very interesting chapter.
