It would probably help, tho, if you looked over things a bit more before posting- There's a lot of random capitalization in weird places, and it's really distracting. It also feels a little squashed and off-format, but hey, that's what looking over it ahead of time is for.

Very good, if a little short. I could see this loosely following the storyline with all four of them working together. The dialogue will make or break this story, as the action is already mostly mapped out. I'll be tracking, and I give you a thumbs up for now. Can't wait to see where you take this.

I actually thought about making a MLP/Borderlands fusion like this. The characters would be:
Mordecai - Rarity (RD is too impatient to be a sniper)
Lilith - Twilight
Roland - AJ
Brick - RD (she's a blackbelt in the show)
Marcus - Spike
Dr. Zed - Fluttershy
Claptrap - Pinkie
Commandant Steele - Trixie (since Steele might be a siren like Lilith, I thought a rivalry would be good)
Scooter - CMC
The Destroyer - Discord
I was basing it around potential for humor, not personalities (since the Vault Hunters are more or less generic badasses rather than deep characters in BL1). Anyways, I'm tracking this one.

Anyway, amazing. Hopefully this will keep me held over until Borderlands 2 comes out. Also hopefully it will cheer me up that just after Eternal finally came back to FIMFiction, it got taken away again before I could finish reading it. Any of you know another site with it, the story is freaking amazing!

Okay, while I think this could turn out great. Don't take this the wrong way but this is rough.
Not to worry, I'm here to help.
First Off:
While Pinkie breaking the fourth wall is always great, when she calls a 4-player Cooperative shooter an MMOFPS there's something wrong there. Borderlands is referred to as a Cooperative RPS or Role Playing Shooter.
2nd:
Musical Lyrics are broken up by Stanzas or else they flow terribly to a reader who might not have heard the song before (okay yeah, it's a Borderlands crossover and it's not like we all haven't heard the song who are reading it, but that's not the point) Also a lot of the lyrics are actually wrong, a simple youtube search would fix this.
ex.
I was walking down the street
When out the corner of my eye
I saw a pretty little thing - approaching me
She said I've never seen a man
Who looks so all alone
Could you use a little company?
3rd:
Pinkie's telling the story to three fillies and the story is about 4 of the main characters - also girls. And when she's talking about the riches of the vault she mentions mares as if there was a stallion around or apart of the 4 main characters. Is this just a mistake or is everypony a lesbian?
But I'm done. Take of that what you will.
Oh and in future chapters, please use detail and describe things more. You're not going to run out of words. And you're going to help out us - the readers - a lot.
Might want to add your own creative flair when opening a story with an obvious allusion
The exact same opening with ponified versions of the 4 mercenaries is just plain lazy. I didn't bother reading it. I knew what was going on. Why bother?
