Princess Celestia learns that, after a royal wedding, a Changeling invasion, and a investiture of a princess, Equestria is running short of money. A small loan from the neutral banks of Germaneigh would take care of the problem, and Celestia sends Luna and Twilight Sparkle to negotiate for the loan. Unfortunately, the Griffin Kingdom would love to see Equestria go bankrupt, and will stop at nothing to see the loan fail--including murder.

Nobody said being an alicorn princess would be easy...

I'd say that for the first chapter, this is leaving me in quite a bit of suspense, as I am curious to see how this story is going to turn out. Good job! I hope to see more of it very soon.

So they blew all their money on extravagant parties and now their almost broke; it's happened before.

Are there like, any stories that have Ponies and Griffens with good political relations?

I think it's because we haven't seen any protagonist nations for Equestria in MLP. :trollestia:The Griffins get it by default, even though Gilda and Rainbow Dash were friends.

Don't you mean antagonist? :rainbowhuh:

Yes, that's what I meant. I was just testing you.

Actually, no...I can't back that up. :derpyderp1:

Yeah, I noticed the immediate execution for 'injuring with magic' and not for 'injuring by being a big-ass buffalo'. Seems like a pretty big loophole. :ajbemused:

I like that they're trying to kill Golden Lily while she's completely unaware.

Keep it going! I love this story!!!!:ajsmug:

I suppose Equestria's vast reserves of gemstones aren't enough to restart the economy?

3096271

Given how easy Rarity (and I'm assuming other ponies) can find them, and that Twilight doesn't have financial paroxysms over Spike eating them, gems might be nearly worthless in Equestria.

The CMC will disagree with you. In "Just for Sidekicks", they were able to buy a very large amount of equipment to make a fur dryer with just 1 tiny gemstone. Apparently the quality and properties of the stones vary.

3098183
Probably so. I'm just going to figure that Equestria's on the gold standard, since it seems that's what bits are made out of.

Does open up the possibility that Spike was eating Twilight's life savings in "Secret of My Excess." :moustache::twilightoops:

Why was Twilight at the hotel instead of the embassy? That's where all the diplomats stay, duh.

hehubuwahda WAAAAAAH??:applejackconfused: You, my good writer, have just blown my mind. This story is excellence in its purest form.:ajsmug: Can't wait to read more from you.:rainbowdetermined2:

In the words of the philosopher Big Mac..."Eeyup."

3143020

Maybe, but you'd think Luna would have used her magic to teleport the jewels out of his reach or something...

3143035
Luna could've also lopped Ironwing's head off with a magical scythe, but that's not how I wrote the story.

VBA

I... Think that there is something wrong with this chapter pacing, the action happened so quickly and it was so sudden, that it almost reached light-speed. Next time, you should make the transition to action more swift, maybe explain the surroundings so that we can form a mental picture.

The explanation of Luna's gravity powers came out of nowhere, it was a good concept, but the way you give the explanation was too sudden.

However it is still a good story, so i will keep on reading.

Wait, what? So this was all so that Ironwing could just get some jewels back?
