It actually had been one of my ideas too but then i thought of Pinkie Pie who has ballons as cutiemark but works mostly as baker though she loves to do party/have fun/put smile on faces. So i wanted a name which can be used for Mayor Mare´s current position and something she loves to do and which can also be used for a job/hobby/work outside her mayor job or after she retired. Thus the novel thingie. So i went to the Wiki and read that she does lots of speeches in the show and got the idea to name her Speech Maker, but maker sounded weird so i changed that into Writer. And from that i could easily see her as a novel author as well or as a secretary or, as we all know her like, as a mayor.
I do like the name Ivory Scroll but i rather would use that for somepony who invites spells or research spells or makes scrolls from scratch herself or works with ancient scrolls and such.

In terms of adding a clop chapter or in terms on how Speech Writer does her third legislative period with everypony knowing about her past, body features and real name? And maybe find the love of her life now that she could come in terms with herself/her male part/her past?

Now that I read the whole story, I can say I liked it a lot. The story behind Speech Writer becoming Mayor Mare seems very realistic. I can also understand her fears. I would really like to see a sequel to this story, to find out the after effects of Speech Writer's speech. Idealistically, I can see that ponies of Ponyville accepting her. Realistically, however, is a different matter. Clop isn't necessary.

Thank you very much, it´s nice to know that I did well to deliever Speech Writer´s fears and how she became Mayor Mare. For me it was important to show the difference between her old life, where she was shunned, betrayed and felt alone, and to her current life where she has ponies at her side who support her, has something worth to protect/keep and can overcome her fears.
Yeah, idealistic versus realistic is very difficult. For example, I would have no idea how the germans would react if Chanellor Merkel would be a futa. Well, it depends i guess. It´s why I had Couch Potato here, a politican who didn´t admited to his past and mistakes unlike Mayor Mare/Speech Writer who tells everypony herself of her past and what she is.
I think people can forgive many faults if you´re sorry for them or if you yourself stands up for them. Like when here in germany the well-liked Guttenberg was found out that he had a ghostwriter writing his work for his diplom and denied it just to be crushed under the evidence then the german people couldn´t trust and forgive him. If he had owned his fault up right at beginning and admitted everythin, I believe many would have said to give him a second chance cause of that behaviour.
And here i hope that the Ponies of Ponyville will come to understand´s Speech Writer´s situation and why she came to her decision to become Mayor Mare amongst them and kept her secret for so many years. I´m pretty sure alot of them will do so, even in a realistic setting. :3
