Bravo. There are a handful of questionable word choices which detracted from the Victorian--or should I say, Lovecraftian--feel you were going for, but overall, that was marvelous.

I like that, if you follow the implications of 'Read it and Weep', Screw Loose didn't escape, and got chased back to the hospital.
I think I'll follow the canon that he escaped, but it's a funny alternative ending--after all his confidence, he's easily caught and locked back up.
