I`d go with past, even though being in the present would be cool, (rising up from nothing to greatness, and the added bonus of being `just a mortal` to rally to your cause) The starting power would be awesome...I can imagine pulling a swarm and creating abominations, horrible twisted beings of darkness, mocking the Alicorns harmony...creating a cult in your name...and even opening the doors to Tartarus...we would be unstopable...
we would twist laughter until she laughs is pain
we would make loyalty watch as we burn everything she loves
we would show generosity no mercy
we would corrupt kindness until she is nothing more then our slave...
we would force honesty to lie as she must tell others that it will "All be ok..."
and we would show the magic of friendship the POWER OF HATRED!

Brutality has proven to be a weakness rather than a perk so often the bullhead is out of the question, changelings work through deceit but are lacking in the strength area, so i guess if you go for Garmaddon and Play your Cards right you may be a Lasting counterpiece against good.
Hmmmm....... the first two are really cool, but the third one... not so much, so I would throw that one out. The creator of the changelings is good, but not good enough. I still think you can't beat a dragon the size of a mountain.... so I would have to go with first choice.

I would go with King Syither of the Changlelings (Good name btw). Changlelings are like bugs actually, which means that while they're scrawny, the muscles inside their bodies are more potent (Ant for example: can lift up to 100 times it's own weight). Not just that but: KING OF THE CHANGELINGS!!!
Probably means we can still shapeshift into anything we want! The possibillities are endless! King Syither for the win!

King Syither of the Changlelings, no doubt, you see, the Changlings remind me of the Swarm from Starcraft 2...I can so imagine mutating them to make them better, more specialized...

Good question, you'll probably see more chapters like this in the beginning. I find that if I keep these short, then I can upload these at a quicker pase without tiring myself out. It will be a bit later where you can expect long chapters, but that's when we get plot heavy.
By the look of it, It would seem that if you choose the dragon king path, it would be implying you intend to just rampage and destroy things(dragons aren't small or smart, well perhaps spike but w/e). Not very fitting for a long term evil plan, but with the changelings you could easily manipulate and shepard the ponies to becoming your servants and such which would be helpful if we get a evil lair of some type. So I would go with Syither the changeling king, just because brains before brawn.
Well yes, dragons arent small, but they are moderately to extremely intelligent. They arent just beasts, they're intelligent creatures
it would seem to me that there could be another part than to just rampaging and destruction, he could send a little group of dragons to destroy a town or two, something like that, like coordinated strikes you know? But yeah, i kinda get what you mean, im just saying dragons arent all rampage and destruction
