5085947 Can't remember the specifics of the battle, but I believe the CCS-class Battlecruiser in question had its shields stripped by energy weapons fire.
It may surprise you, but an unshielded vessel of any firepower or tonnage is in grave danger from even the smallest warships. The Infinity was almost taken out by a Remnant Corvette at Oth Lodon in Escalation, and if the battlecruiser's glassing beam had hit the Equestrian supercarrier twice, that too would have been destroyed.
If anywhere I mentioned that mere M42 Archer barrages could do anything to a fully-shielded CCS-Class Battlecruiser, then I was shitfaced at the time of writing it. That sentence in bold at the top of the description is there for a reason, good sir.

We were dealing with CAS-class, not CSO-class. So the Covenant flag ship in question was about the equivalent size of the Infinity's 5km length. Luna's force won only by numerical superiority. Damn the old wording in these chapters makes me cringe

I did like the original... But I like where this is going.
... Huh. I like this version of events better because it actually explains what humanity was doing when Nightmare Moon showed up. Also, I suspect only major details will be preserved, like the existence of the Archons, and the hollow ice planet with war ships from the Forerunner war, and Chief and Luna being a major shipping point. Because they both need dedicated care and attention from some one who cares for them.
Didn't expect this, but still enjoyed it. Good work.

I am glad to see this story is back, but I am going to admit I am somewhat confused. How did Johnson and the Chief get there? For that matter, why are brutes?
I mean, it looks like you are taking an alternate route for a Halo timeline, and I like it, but I just find it odd. I hope my confusion is lifted in the next few chapter revisions!
Other than a few word errors, this chapter is perfect backstory material! You make every character matter in their own way and I love it! Can't wait for chapter three!

The codex is larger then either Word Worthy and I expected but it should (if I have anything to say :P) be released tomorrow. It'll be rather barebones right now because each entry was expanded greatly compared to the previous one due to slight changes in writing styles (length amounts) and the additions to lore. Still, with it's release we will have the basis for updating it.
6798277 I have to agree. I think you need to do a third revision here because even as a halo fan and an MLP fan I am confused as heck to what is going on. Celestia and Luna have been in statis for quite some time. Nightmare Moon is somehow her own mare.
Okay this is AU and crossover. So we actually need to know a bit of the world before going on. Even MLP itself gave us a basic backstory to setup the world in the pilot.

love the combat, feels like reading the books and Chief's character is very well represented I see that this will change alot of the things in the universe seeing as the encounter with regret is not on the Delta Halo and so forth just curious where about is the timelines greatest divide (not counting before the human covie war.)

Okay, finally read through this. Still not the biggest single chapter I have read, that goes to a 97 thousand word chapter. Three days to read that chapter alone. Twas worth it, but I stopped doing anything but listening to music, eating, drinking, and reading those three days. Unfortunately for me, it was exam week.
Seems the beginning of the end of the covenant, half the covenant seem like they are going to join the concordat. So that leaves only one real last enemy to face.......the flood.
