Spending most of her childhood on a rock farm with her three sisters, Pinkie Pie's life was quite boring. At least to her. That all changed one day however, when she witnessed an incredible Sonic Rainboom. Pinkie Pie soon discovered she had a knack for throwing parties and making other ponies smile, and thus discovered her purpose in life.

However, despite her best efforts she found that she couldn't make her special talent work with her life on the rock farm. A fact that her family soon picked up on. One day Pinkie Pie made the decision to leave the rock farm and her family, no one tried to stop her. But years later Pinkie Pie would grow to regret this decision. Especially as this put her out of touch with her older sister Maud.

Pinkie Pie eventually made her way to Ponyville, where she became the young apprentice baker of Carrot Cake and Cup Cake. In exchange for her help Pinkie Pie was given a room above Sugarcube Corner that she could call her own. The two grew quite fond of Pinkie Pie, and even considered her the daughter they never had.

Just recently Mrs. Cake had learned that she was pregnant, a fact that raised concern for both Mr. Cake and Pinkie Pie. They feared that they might not have enough money to provide for the new foal. Something that troubled Pinkie Pie to no end.

Upon noticing an advertisment for the Equestria Battle Tournament Pinkie Pie decided to enter. She hopes to win the 1,000,000 bits in prize money so she can ensure that her employers won't have to give up the foal.

Of course Pinkie Pie knows that she'll likely have to face off against her friends, but she's convinced that it's worth it for a shot at the prize money. She doesn't really care about the trophy.

Pinkie Pie is unaware of the opponents waiting for her within the tournament rounds. Including one that she has never seen before, that will really give her a hard time.

Edited this after the events of "Pinkie Pride" confirmed Pinkie Pie had a third sister.
