I'm very interested in diseases. I generally write about death and devastation, but I still maintain a decent variety of stories. I'm most proud of Pandemic and I'm Coming For You.

T

What seemed like a normal day at first glance was actually the start of something horrifying...

Twilight had gone out to a picnic with her friends, and spotted something off about a few of the ponies. A few weeks later, the first death. Was it just bad luck, or the start of something terrible? Read along as Twilight finds out....

Contains ponies dying! If you don't want to read about that, turn away now.
Cover Art by me. This is the rewritten version of an older story of mine, which was extremely unrealistic. Please comment what you thought of it.

Hmm... I hate to nag, but when Twilight checks her clock, A.M and P.M should be capitalized. I'm a bit of a grammar nazi, I know. Other than that, the story is very interesting. So suspenseful. I don't generally read anything about death, but this is intriguing. Who dies first, if you don't mind my asking?

3066398 Thanks, I'll fix the error. As for who dies first... I haven't decided yet.

3 A.M. in the morning, huh? You know what that means...:pinkiecrazy: Anyways, great first chapter and I can't wait to read more!

3117319 I'm thinking of somepony like Lyra or Colgate... though I like that idea.

I found it! I was wondering what had happened to the story, I guess I misclicked when I went to favorite it and then I lost it. :derpyderp1: But no need to fear, I found it again. So, how's about an update, I'm positively anxious to find out how this will play out, and I'm sure everypony else is, too!

Hm, Pandemic?

Well, there's only one solution to survive this deadly disease...
Everypony needs to move to Madagascar.

+1 Internet if you get the joke.

3304969 Why is the #1 related video Twitch's remix of Becoming Popular?

Neat premise. Prose could use some work to make things flow more smoothly. Not too bad overall, but could definitely use some polishing.

Her suspicions were correct; either the influenza had developed drug resistances randomly, or this was brand new.

Hate to be nit-picky, but the influenza virus isn't affected by cough suppressants. Cough medicine merely alleviates symptoms; it has no affect on the rate of recovering from the common flu. Therefore, the virus itself wouldn't be building up an immunity to a medicine that has no effect on it. If anything, the virus would be adapting itself to counter individual antibodies. I'm probably just over-thinking this... but there ya go.

3307423 Thanks... I've spent tons of time educating myself on things like Ebola but I know next to nothing about the flu. :twilightblush:

ECDC

Shouldn't there be a "P" at the end? I say this because here you call the organization by this name:

The Equestrian Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

And you can totally disregard my previous comment seeing as the disease has now been revealed to be a bacterial pathogen, not a viral pathogen.

Carry on.

3307457 The reason there's no 'P' at the end is because ECDC is based on the CDC- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They don't include a P at the end for some reason. And ECDCP doesn't sound as good in my head... but thanks for the feedback.

3307461 I was unaware of that. Thank you for clarifying!

I couldn't help but play Plague Inc. while reading this. Hehe.:pinkiecrazy:

3316219 This story is based off of Plague Inc., so that's awesome.

3320281 That game is one of the best games ever. I played that game then immediately looked up "Pandemic" in the search bar to see if anything came up.

Ugh. Did she spit on it?

Hyper Salivation symptom mutated.

Sooo... may I ask when I can expect an update on this story? It's rather interesting. :derpytongue2:

4060741 I'd like to get you a date when the next chapter will be out but my work ethic has been terrible lately. I do plan on finishing this story but I have no clue when.

To help you out, I would recommend the show "How to Survive the End of the World", episode "Zombie Earth" to help you write about a pandemic, since it simulates what airborne rabies would do to human society. However, I don't know how much it would help in an Ebola-centric story.

Still, I like what I see so far, and I appreciate you researching Ebola to make this story realistic. Liked and faved

3814445 Madagascar counterpart nation closes all ports

3304947 if it was a neurax worm however. *trojan planes*

4268233 Even worse is Greenland. Ships never go there anyway. :/

And insert the symptoms going away while it's spreads pandemic 2 style.

Ooooo. Hemorrhagic fevers. Good pick.

And the ponies are screwed. They probably have never had to deal with viral hemorrhagic fevers before.

3304947

Greenland is my second pick :pinkiecrazy:

As for wanting to not know how this ends up, I already know about Ebola. Y'know, because of the current outbreak. Oh well...

Thats why you start in greenland and get water born.
Edit: my brother beat the game multiple times and he said that its easy to beat even bioweapon once you know what does what and the unique traits of each disease
