Seems that I'm the First. Well-written chapter, and it doesn't take much for a mare to fall in love with the "Strong, Silent Type," which Mac most assuredly is. However... I've always thought that Silver Spoon was the more attractive of the two, though that's my personal preference as a stallion. Hmm... IDEA! I shall write a SS/OC shipfic!
So you have covered a unique Earth Pony union with this story and a the unique union of pegasi in From Now to Eternity. When are you going to show your vision of what unicorns have?
3330359 Oh, I may one shot that at some point, though for the most part we saw the unicorn pomp and circumstance version in A Canterlot Wedding at the end of Season 2. However, I do have some of my own personal ideas, and may put some to digital print at some point in the future. Oh, and for a proper earth pony wedding, I may yet elaborate on that using the Apple Parents, Apple Ridge and Orange Bloom.
3330271Thank you,3329380 thank you, 3328916thank you, 3328732thank you, 3328608and thank you, plus send me a link to your OC/SS fic I'll give it an eyeball.
Again thank you all, I've said this before, that when I started conjuring this fic I'd stumbled across a 'Shipping Chart' that showed the relative commonality of shippings of various ponies, and there was no connection between Big Mac and Diamond Tiara, despite a rather noted connection of Diamond to Apple Bloom and other characters. I'm flattered to think I was the first to do DiMac, I'm more flattered that it's been a relative success. Thank you.
...Hm, pretty good! I don't know if I said before that this whole fic is really painful to read. Excellent, but painful. But then, it is realistic. The story's just a bit of a nightmare.
she could remember an answer from a fantasy book series Silver had been reading, where a father dire wolf tells his son that only when one was scared could one truly be brave
Actually it's from the first book I just realized, not the show, at the execution of the deserter.
Yes there is a whiff of 'Game of Thrones' in An Apple Studded Diamond, the POV style I'm using is used in the novels as well.
Not sure if I've said this before, but this series is a fascinating yet difficult read for me. I'm used to shipping stories, almost always lovely cutesy ones, and this approaches things from a very different angle to what I'm used to. It's really intriguing to read about a marriage in contract terms, rather than the sweet and light view I normally do, and I enjoyed the first arc, which surprised me.
This was well put together for a bridge chapter, keeping things ticking over and setting out what you're going to dig through next. DT is not built up as a good pony in this but I can't help rooting for her, and seeing AJ's punishment attempt thwarted, no matter how temporarily, was a nice touch. Having a role for SS in this is a neat idea too, as the relationship between her and Diamond is canon and believable so I would guess its useful: she does have a friend somewhere, someone other than Mac who doesn't detest her.
I knew just from the title and description that this was going to be a raging hoot.
This story does need extensive editing, mind. But I'm not really in the mood to pick over errors at the moment.
Some thoughts jotted down as I read (these thoughts cover all existing chapters, mind):
Love the CMC's reactions to the whole situation.
Man, Diamond Tiara needs her mouth washed out with bleach.
So, the moral of this story is basically: "Don't be an insufferable bitch, or your parents will shove a huge farmer's cock up you"?
Oh good god dick cake.
Oh good god photo of Little Macintosh sucking himself. Seriously WHAT?
The whole concept of panties on ponies is still just ridiculous to me.
As much as I wanted to see Apple Bloom SAVAGELY REAM Diamond Tiara with the maiden key, the ensuing scene was so dawwsome I can forgive the denial of gooey vengeful goodness.
AJ, though, had been saddled with the task of showing Diamond the ropes
"Bad enough I have to get mounted by Big Macintosh, he's into BONDAGE too?!"
We need a Twilight/Silver Spoon sex scene. Or not.
The whole thing with the lead rope at the wedding is a bit...degrading. Even DT doesn't deserve that.
UGH, your Zecora rhymes are painfully forced.
The whole Pinkie scene at the party, Zecora notwithstanding, is hilarious. Drunk and horny Scootaloo is best drunk and horny pony.
And Applejack is AWFULLY sadistic in this. Granted, she's drunk during the worst of it, but still.
And getting into the most recent chapter, it seems to me like Applejack has come down with a raging case of the dumb, mean alcoholic.
It's nice to see genuine affection and attraction blooming between the happy couple.
3350529 Hmmm, interesting observations. There is an editor working on this though, but feel free to PM me on your issues with the editing.
The moral has more to do with how one takes charge of one's life lest others control it for you. (I know this painfully from long experience) And accepting consequences.
The photo of McIntosh, hehe, the whole piece is loaded with allusions and fun little pokes at the fandom, one of which is "Big" Mac's "Big" package. The same goes with the panties thing, on the other hand there was this episode of Jerry Springer ... (nevermind ).
Zecora, I tried my best to copy the styles of the episodes she'd seen in, (Actually had to watch and re-watch while writing that section, I'd have sooner done her dialogue in a Xhoshan or Bantu type language, Zulu or Swahili. But I matched the tempo and rhythm of her rhyming slang dialogue form. Know some better Zecora scripting, please point it out.
On Applejack, (Sigh) she'd the perfect foil in this case, a story about perceptions, she can't see Diamond for anything but the prissy pink bully that she was in the past. Albeit when Big Mac gets done talking to Diamond we see there wasn't much to her. AJ, is living in her past and trying to cope and not succeeding very well. Her 'Dumb Drunk' is a non-progressive adaptation to the situation, she hasn't gone fully off the apple cart, yet, but she is ... getting there, if someone doesn't stop her. The show's writing shows AJ pretty much has one glaring flaw that she keeps getting tripped up on, ego/pride/stubbornness, here I plan on riding her into the wall for it. There is also the link between Diamond Tiara and AJ's past (shown in the cutie mark chronicles) with AJ's original desire to leave Sweet Apple Acres for Manehatten.
Added to my Read Later list, as I've seen some of your notes on equines before in discussion threads. Not sure if I'll acheive education and enlightenment, however, or merely horrified fascination.
Edit: finished Chapter 4. A little bit of both, so far...
I don't often feel jealous while reading, but this line. This line. This. Line.
It had given Diamond pause to conclude that with so much of their egos already coming out the tops of their heads, unicorn stallions needed less between their legs.

entreging
Yessss, good to see an update. I'm looking forward to this, I didn't think it'd catch my interest as much as it has.
I enjoy seeing MacIntosh pull the plug on Applejack's little revenge fantasies entirely too much.
Ah, good to see this one back up. This is my favorite Crack Pairing. Please do continue - it's really quite good!

nice chapter. Can't wait for the next!
Apple Jack is getting a little more veracious that is going to cause some major problems.
Me thinks there is more then we think yet to be revealed.
Good job I like the chapter.
Good luck best wishes.
I was going to say, "I see what you did there" about the last reference, when suddenly!
