Heartwarming as hell. You're definitely right: Tank doesn't get enough love, even if he is best pony pet playmate. It's good to see someone giving the little guy his time to shine and do what he does best - be RD's rock to lean on when she needs it.
I don't wanna rain on the parade, but the ending felt just a little bit rushed to me. A lot happened in the last couple of paragraphs with little explanation or dialogue. I still think this story is awesome and would love to see more interaction with Tank in the future.

Agreed, Tank is great fun and really needs more love.
Also Twi is full of it.
They also make a ton of noise when they mate but they make noises other times too.
It did take a lot more to exhaust Rainbow Dash, but she always welcomed sleep like an old friend.

Maybe after she was done kicking the rain clouds into shape, she could come home and crash for a while. Not forever, though. She had a sleep schedule to keep up.
-She does seem to nap in odd places a lot. Maybe she exhausts herself training a lot? Or do you simply bend your fanon towards "less napping than the show might imply" rather than "more napping than the show might imply"?
