I like this story. I was like HOLY CRAP at the when the "Before you know it, they'll be getting married and having foals of their own." part. It was enjoyable, funny and perfectly done. I also love the reaction. Looking forward to new chapters.

Nice chapter, though I did find it a bit odd that Twilight received an invitation to the Gala - she is a Princess, she wouldn't need any invitation - if anything, she should be sending out her own invitations to ponies she wanted to bring along.
On another note, it was pretty amusing to see the herald announce Flash as Twilight's consort - I almost expected a bigger reaction from the crowd. Though now that Flash is being officially recognized as Twilight's royal consort, shouldn't he at the very least be reassigned to guard Twilight, as part of her personal guard or something, (she could do it herself if need be) so he could be around her as much as possible, instead of lounging around Canterlot and only going to visit on weekends?
