Meet Imaginary, a lone unicorn stallion who lives between Ponyville and Canterlot. This is just a brief story of his POV of a number of events from Season 1 and Season 2, and his problems with 2 of the Mane 6, who, despite all their efforts, can't seem to get him to be their friend.
However, it isn't because Imaginary is a bitter old stallion. In fact, he's the same age as the Mane 6, and his reasons for his rejection go much, much deeper.
This story takes place shortly after “Luna Eclipsed” but before “Hearth’s Warming Eve”.
It also takes place within “The Sour Grapes Chronicles” continuity.
EDIT: One character's name has been changed due to his actual canon name being mentioned in the official comic!

Allow me to say this simply: Having a black-and-red OC is a way to get instant downvotes. It doesn't matter how good or bad the story is, everyone hates those colors on OC's.

I'm surprised no one else has caught on to how RD behaves around Celestia. But as you can see from Chapter 9, it really all stems from both a traumatic experience on his part, and from their pranking habits.

Huh...I don’t get why this hasn't got anymore attention/popularity. Its well written and the ‘cast’ are not out of character.
The story itself raises/uses a few things that I have found myself disliking (borderline hatin) in the series(RD attitude
, Luna on NMN, ‘pranks’
). And it is done and presented in a really good way.
So yea...great story, shame it hasn't picked up more readers.

I must admit that I often cringe at stories with black/red OC’s, but I usually give most of them the benefit of the doubt. I mean come on...it’s just the bloody colour choice, its not like it impacts the story or the quality of the writhing. Tho B/R OC’s do have a stigma in most stories, but don’t see the point of instantly labeling the story bad…
Yea...EQD's reaction/reply is always presented in a nice way(ofc it is, it looks professional). And I agree with several of your point’s in the blog. Tho I kinda suspect that EQD do have a pre-made list of replies, and that they just ‘ctrl-c/ctrl-v’ the “appropriate” replies.
The thing is that I chose the colors to reflect the ACTUAL REAL LIFE colors of the Aztec horse, and yes, they all have black fetlocks.
I guess some bronies don't like it when someone doesn't use the "proper" pastel colors for their OC.
And he's not even blood red or crimson red or neon red or ketchup red. He's more brown than red, again, the hue taken directly from a picture of an Aztec horse.
Interesting story. Different than what I usually read. Give a different view of RD and PP. Glad it all came back together.
