I write things. I hope you like the things. I know I do.

* May not be happy and may not be forever.

It's the ending of your typical Flutterdash shipfic. Everything is perfect. Everyone is perfectly in love. Everyone has put aside their anti-homosexual views after firstly being stubborn to the point of mundanity. Everything is perfect. But the MLP universe, even though it is a lot better than our own in some respects, is not perfect. What happens ex post facto?

What happens after 'happily ever after'?

Precious little trust after 10 years of marriage on Fluttershy's side here. There are hints to an insecurity accumulated over years, but maybe you should have gone a bit more in depth there, because it feels like they hadn't actually lived with each other for the last decade. It doesn't feel like that time would have counted for something.
Otherwise a nice story.

You know there needs to be more fics that shows what happens after the shipping is complete.

Or at least more fics that show divorces.

Thank you for your input. I'll be thinking about how I can explain a bit more on Fluttershy's side over the next few days.

Why? Do you want to get divorced just to fit a statistic? Equestria doesn't need to reflect every fault and flaw of our world, not even in fanfics.
At least personally I have no need whatsoever to read about divorces.
Fics that show relationships after a long time has passed can be interesting, especially because there are few of them. But they are by their nature quite detached from canon, and it's difficult to convey a believable setting set apart from the reference frame of the show by such a time gap.
Also if there were even a tenth as many such stories as there are normal shipfics, the subject would be completely stale.

Interesting idea here, but it definitely feels like Dash and especially Fluttershy are carrying the Idiot Ball here. On Dash's side, a bit of fighting back rather than freezing up would be far more in character (I kept expecting him to buck Spitfire straight in the face for that one), and/or running after Fluttershy. And even with all of Fluttershy's insecurities, ten years of marriage ought to be enough to question whether something else was going on. This is the kind of plot that would make far more sense a few weeks into their relationship rather than ten years.

If you're talking about this part:

Lightning Dash was riding on the back of his mother and Flash Sentry was sent by his wife, who couldn't fly, to make sure that they were alright.

it was his wife (Twilight) who couldn't fly, because she was ten months pregnant. Flash Sentry was flying.
