Sorren

I write like once a year.

There's a certain word for love built for somepony in secrecy; it's called naivety. Once this point is reached, lessons are learned the hard way and sorrow flows like a river. Rainbow, like always, is the hardest to fall.

....That was surprisingly uplifting.

It's always a pleasure to read on of your stories Sorren. I've enjoyed quite a few of your stories and I can't wait to give your latest work a read. I'll be looking forward to reading more by you in the future. Keep up the great writing!

This story was a nice change of pace for me.

In short: I enjoyed it. It was good.

Needs some touching up, otherwise decent.

If you cannot settle things in a civilized manner, I suppose that deleting the comment was all I had left. Maybe one day you can think before you speak.

While i'm not a fan of twi/dash i have to say this was an interesting concept i was hoping someone would explore if a pony got shot down. my only criticisms is that it was dashie why do authors always put her through pain and torment! Do it to Applejack for once!

congrats dude. You made me cry which is something that I don't do often. so congrats.

Sorry to hear about what happens with RavensDagger. That sucks. :unsuresweetie:

This was actually a nice little story--salt and sugar in one. I'll be keeping it in my favs. :pinkiehappy:

And Dash shouldn't worry...as Fate'll have it, she'll probably end up with Spitfire (or Soarin), anyway. :duck:

What was another night alone? And another after that? And possibly for the rest of her life? She’d been doing it all her life so far; continuing wouldn’t be that hard.

I know that feel... to well... :pinkiesad2:
Regardless if the story was a simple contest and nothing else you made me stop and think about myself.
The unpopular stories or the half-assed ones always seem much more.
That was uplifting
Thx

3795959 This was indeed a contest entry, but when writing this I did not slack a single bit. I wanted to play on a theme, and that theme was 'life goes on'. Personal experience makes for writing the best stories.

Always love reading your stories, Sorren. Can't believe it took me this long to read this one.

Beat me to it.

Was this (or any of your other stories, for that matter) inspired by something that happened to you in real life? Great story by the way, definitely made me think.

7723453 Nope. Not at all.

I came here from the Seattle's Angels recommendation, and I wasn't disappointed. I should mention now that I'm much more of a Spitfire fan than a Rainbow or Twilight one, but I really appreciated how the story was almost more about Rainbow looking up to Spitfire as an idol than it was Rainbow looking to Twilight as a lover. I think it could possibly even have gone further, and left Twilight's name out entirely, replacing her with non-specific details about who Rainbow was rejected by, letting it show how actually it was that relationship with her idol that had remained a consistent feature of Rainbow's life for so much longer than her latest crush.

That line about 'more than friends,' that always raises some problems with MLP. The show is called Friendship is Magic, not Love is Magic, so to suggest friendship is second best is an awkward one. I think that's why there are so few canon relationships in the show, especially with the mane six, and why Princess Cadence's duties are largely kept off-screen.

This bit, though:

Spitfire had probably been through worse, and Spitfire was one step down from goddess.

What 'step down?' :trollestia:
