Discord has done some pretty nasty things in his life, but now he's seen somepony--or something, that takes the cake and cranks up his chaos beyond what even he thinks is acceptable. Even a reality-bending dragonequus has his limits...and what he's seen far exceeds said limit.

Written in thirty minutes at two o'clock in the morning as a means to vent. I'm not really sure if any of it turned out right.

UPDATE:
After recent events, Discord reflects once more on the beings of chaos that he examined a year earlier...

This one was written because a friend asked me to do it.

This is... good. You really got his more serious side down without making him sound out of character. Pretty solid reasoning, too.
I don't think I've even read any of the fics you referenced - haven't been around that long yet - and I don't think I'd want to. I really like the way Discord is depicted in the show: Mishievous, but ultimately harmless (more or less). After all, the show is all about antagonists who can be taken seriously without being overly threatening.

P.S: We need Discord emoticons. Dapper Discord, namely.

well that was different from most I've read...It was still pretty good
:derpytongue2:

*sigh*

Oh, Fimfiction. When will you learn? *shakes head*

Hue, well don't worry Dissy dearest, I love you in all forms of the word of chaos and harmony alike.

And bless you. Because you are one of the few, next to me, who remember. IT'S A BUCKING TV SHOW FOR KIDS.

I'm genuinely afraid of what the show would become if half the people on this site (especially those who have written "those" fics) were allowed on the staff. Needlessly to say, unabashedly delving into why everyone is gay somehow is the least of the problems that would crop up in that scenario...

3620026 Well that's why they're show writers and we're fans baby xD

Sadly you can't control the flow of fanfiction -w-

Honestly, Dissy, If anything I think you're just madly insane, and... well, as someone who is also fairly insane (Not quite clinically, but I got my therapist to break down in tears when I was seven, which was an accomplishment), I can respect that. In my own headcanon, as we fans call the ideas and thoughts that swirl 'round in our heads, grabbing onto the puzzle pieces given to us by the show and slotting them together to come up with a picture, I see you as a creature who would find death boring. Tears might be funny to laugh at once or twice, but even then they'll bog you down, because unlike something evil for the sake of evil, you've still got a heart that's compassionate. The sidefic Stakeos really shows off the side of you that I think is exactly who you are, and there's more of that characterization in your appearances in the fic it's a companion to, Divided Rainbow, which I'm not linking because it has less to do with you than necessary.

As someone who has pulled my share of pranks on others, and had a good amount of pranks pulled on myself, I can understand how much fun a little chaos between friends can be, and also how too much can break friends apart. In that regard, friendship is like a tightrope hanging vertically and you have to walk up it using only your toes and a flower pot. It's crazy, fairly hard, but if you look at it with the right perspective, then it's perfectly easy.

Even at my worst I refrained from outright killing creatures--it would have spoiled my fun at the time.

Death is a stagnation of the fun and chaos that life can bring. If ever there was something perfectly in order, perfectly tame, and perfectly banal... it is death. Some can say that the way someone dies can be entertaining, while others will say that the tears of those who survive are even more so. Me? I find death... sad. Boring. An end to the spark of creativity and thought. Why cause chaos to cause death, when that would mean one less creature for you to laugh at, or one less friend to laugh with?

I wonder...what are Discord's thoughts on the HiE fics? Be interesting to find out...
