Fallout Equestria: Tales of Chicacolt is a sidefic that takes a bit of a different take on the FoE universe. Set entirely in the city of Chicacolt, Tales takes a look at the various characters that live there. Each chapter is a short story episode, focusing on a different character. Tales of Chicacolt also takes place in the same universe as "Fallout Equestria: Starlight" where Chicacolt was featured prominently.

Hah! That's sort of amusing. Hey, you never know... anything can happen in Chicacolt. That's the beauty of this set-up. It allows Wire and me to explore a variety of characters, genres, and locations.

Each chapter is going to be a completely different short story based around a character. It will be different characters, it might even be a different time period in the city.
Heck, it might even be a different style of story! That's the innate beauty of it.
But fear not... The Moose will one day return to claim his title as Supreme Sugar Overlord!!!

Thanks! I certainly had a lot of fun writing Chapter 2. The idea of visiting a noir style really appealed to me.
It's kind of sad seeing the guy go so soon. But I guess not everyone can be lucky winners in the wasteland.
I will say though that he was brave, and he at least got the filly out. To me, that's really all that matters. Yes he died, and not quite the best death either, but he at least saved a life before he did. As he said, his last act.
I found this chapter good to read, it was interesting. Just a quick question for those who are probably curious, but will there be a sequel to this chapter or a continuum? Just out of my own curiosity.

Heh. We shall see. I'm definitely considering doing another chapter later on down the line with Sunny Smiles as the main character. It would be quite awesome, and ties it together a bit, yeah.
But yeah, poor guy.

Yeah, the Triad are a fairly intense group. I tried my best to distinguish them as the "willing to do whatever it took" faction, willing to put innocent lives in danger to further their goals and whatnot. It was an interesting way to take them, and it really helped define them I think.
Pretty nice story so far my good fellow. Ya know, I was gonna so something similar like this, but I guess you beat me to it. For now, I am gonna leave a like and favorite this.
The word "city" was used a bit too much in that prologue.
Try using some synonyms. Like "town", "the place", "the landscape", "metropolis", or even just "it" would offer some much needed variety.
Not saying its a bad start, but some proof reading would help.
The Triad all pretty on the outside and rotten and willing to do anything to survive on the inside. I actually enjoyed that faction in Starlight. They just wouldn't give up. Really enjoyed them because there essentially the Spa Pony's written as a criminal enterprise. Good story this one. Really showed how the Triads essentially chew pony's up and spits them out.
Discord is always good for a laugh. I like the bit about the little things he does like making a mare go into heat or moss growing. And apparently his fun is putting caps in ammo cans.
I do hope he some day gets into a tower and see's his old friend Celestia again. I wonder if he would have the power to give her a body again?
A good story about Patches kids. Interesting to see what the consequences of the groups travels in Chicacolt were. Almost sad to see the Triads are so weak while Wrath still is a major power. Then again the girls of the Triads never knew when to quit and ended up bleeding white while chasing Radiant Star.

Sorry I'm picky but I saw some miss spelled words and repeats for instance paragraph 102 line 2 it says,"but we we did we found 5 large green pods." But minnor mistakes aside it was a very good first chapter mcmesser's. Like to read another. ?
PS like the species of Finishing Touch Somber made smooze as something to avoid because of acidic properties but you made it loveable thanks and again keep on writing.

Good chapter, but did he stop the emp from going off or was his sacrifice just the end of the Sqeakster in vain. Can we not really send him off in a figurative "bang." And what of miss doo did she make it or for that tragic end struck by the storm. There is too much left unexplained. And twist ending "the craft came back and plucked chowder from certain doom." And always remember the fat one in your life they are a living being like us.
Can't add more thumbs up to a story you already thumbed up, but... *thumbs up*
