Rarity, a name that will ring as a topnotch tailor and worker by many. But time doesn't stand still for anypony. For she has reached her final night with love and passion. But even Rarity knows that when it is time to go, you don't need to fight death off. Embrace it as a friend you never had but always wanted to have.

Follow the elder unicorn as she goes through the last night of her life, but also join her on the road to the Great Beyond. The realm where all the souls go to when they pass away and what joys they shall bring to her.

You can consider this my 'one year anniversary story' as I came up with it after I wrote the blog.

A touching story. Maybe work on grammar and tenses, though. I'm always fascinated by the concept of death in Equestria. Rest in Peace, sweet princess.

I'm so sad!!!!! good work Ms. Belle.

2690443 Grammar and tenses I always hear complaints about. Not that necessarily is a bad thing, though all of my stories are one mare productions, meaning it is just me who does everything, from the idea to the final edit. Adding up the fact that English is not my native language, mistakes are sadly always bound to happen. Especially since I'm too stubborn to call in an editor... Really should do that one day...

But I agree, death in Equestria is a concept that is interesting to touch on despite the concept being done over and over. (one of the mane 6 dying).

2693327 Thank you darling. And, need a tissue?

Beautifully touching...well done

2708286 Thank you my dear.

2708331 You're very welcome.

2710715 *hands you a tissue* There, there.

2710760 *wipes tears* thank you Rarity.

My review in return,
Critical-
I must say, very well written. I see no errors in any way, shape, or form... I've not a clue of anything else to say in a critical view, honestly... Priceless effort, amazingly written, appropriate length. 10/10 Critical.
Honest Opinion-
Knowing this is something that will happen to anybody (or pony), I've always been sensitive after a similar battle happened with my grandmother. I can see how this is relevant to everything to happen in life, whether painful and long like my grandmother, or short and peaceful such as this. I cried at the end of her note to Twilight, and still am. Being emotionally moved by stories such as Freak the Mighty and Under a War-Torn Sky, I can't hold in my true emotion any longer. I love the story, it happens to everything, inevitably. Just the thought of death makes me want to get mine over with. Beautiful story, I'd give it a 10 here too, but sad stories don't make it that far with me. It's lovely, don't get me wrong, every living thing must leave eventually, but if something makes me cry, whether a book, a fan fiction or a game, something tells me, "It can't make it all the way, just let it out, you can't always give perfect feedback!". I love it, but it's too sad. 8.5/10 Overall Rating, 9.2/10

A very touching piece if I've ever read one! *Tosses a bouquet of white roses* Bravo!!! An excellent piece of work! :pinkiehappy:

That was very touching, and also gave me an insight on what death could be like for everyone. I know some who had died like this, and others, had not such a good death, but this pulled at my heart strings. It was written very beautifully, and had my emotions mixed, though at the end, it was the letter that got to me. I couldn't help shedding some tears, knowing that if it were to happen to me, I might not even know if anyone would receive a letter from me.

7475781 Even reading the comment for the second time, there's only one thought I deem worthy to speak, and that thought is: that's heavy, in a good way. I won't say it feels good to tug heartstrings with these kind of stories, but they do make you think for a moment. I, am actually speechless here.

7477650 You're welcome. I suppose I gave that statement, Because it had me feeling and thinking differently about what death could be like.

7477856 A thing that I can understand completely.

That was an incredibly touching short read. It felt heavy, but what I really thought was well done was it wasn't just sad, it showed she wasn't regretful, and the fic didn't have a depressive tone despite having death in it.

Can't say I'm not feeling sad though. :raritydespair:

7484287 Some don't fear death in my eyes. When you know it's your time to go, and you have everything arranged, all you can do, is greet Death like an old friend, and go with him. Death doesn't have to stand equal to depression, hmhmhmh, it's just a matter of perspective.
