As someone who lurked the original thread, and a few after, I am pleased by this
I don't ever really see Lyra leaving her daughter, over protective yes, but never leave. I like the idea and the story is nicely done so far, while I can't agree with Lyra leaving I will say good job.
Is Lyra turning into a total bitch a theme in these stories? Like that one where she stabs Hope in the leg while leaving?
I'm still uncertain what I will do with Lyra.
It's obvious that the unnamed protagonist still loves her. For this story I wrote her out because I wanted to focus on Hope and Anon, not because I dislike Lyra.
If/when I update this, she will probly make a return, although I'm not sure in what capacity.

Ok, so, I do believe the father is going to feel a hell of a lot more awkward around his daughter from now on; while my suspicions lead me to believe that he'll fuck her in one of the chapters, I can only hope that either before or after the fallout, that its handled in a way that doesn't pull his family apart for good (even though its already teetering on the edge of breaking)

Just a little fic based on a /mlp/ what-if thread. Hope here was the first, basically a hypothetical based on what would happen if a human had a kid with Lyra. There's all manner of spinoffs going on now, Applejack satyr (Cider), Fluttersatyr, Gildasatyr, etc. Some really good art coming out too.

I suppose one of the most awkward moments in a man's life is when he has to teach his daughter to masturbate.
While I can see where this story is implying, especially with that last scene, I really hope you don't go there. After the setup you've made, I really don't want to see this guy, who has done his damnedest to be a good father against the odds, go down the road you're implying. I feel a great deal of respect for him, and to have him suddenly "give in" would be a major breech of character. Lyra was a disappointment, but not incapable of redemption. For this Anon to succumb to the temptations he has been presented with would sink him beyond redemption in this case.

The whole lyra thing seemed a bit forced but it's probably just me.
Maybe she'll come back all apologetic and wanting to get back together, perhaps the father will accept because he believes hope needs her mother in her life but the human still doesn't trust her from what she did before.
And after this whole time of just the two of them together, maybe hope doesn't like the idea of another girl taking her fathers attention away from her.

There should be some pretty dramatic plot twists in the future. I'm going to aim for a heated relationship between the anonymous human and Lyra, with plenty of tiptoeing around the sexual tension with Hope. I can't guarantee a happy ending, but nothing will happen to Hope. She's just too adorable.
So any idea where this is going to end up or are you still brainstorming ideas?
