I write stories so that I won't be kept awake at night with a brain full of ponies.

T

You all know those stories: the ones with the black and red alicorn OC's that are completely Gary Stu?

I do. I started writing a story with one.
Then I got bored with him.
That's a bad place to be in, when your author is bored with you.

I'm gonna cancel this story now, but first....

For a first parody, this was nice. I ,frankly, liked how you started the begining by overly-explaining things. I laughed a few times, so nice job.

I'd just like to see their faces while their brains are trying to understand a spoken link.

"Cancelled" HA! My meta humor quota is satisfied. Now to read.

I liked the ending where it is implied that the author is, himself, a terrible OC
:rainbowwild:

Hmm... mleh. But then again, considering what this is...

The 'effects' were pretty good. I guess it worked then. Plus the 'Cancelled'. Love that touch.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I implied that the alicorn escaped his fic and tried to murder the author who just canceled his story.

Although, I really would be a terrible OC/self insert. I'm so boring IRL that I just fade into the background. I have even weaponized my talent of being ignored to get out of doing work!

I see that you have been Blessed with Suck... or is it Cursed with Awesome? I always mix those two up. I think it was the first one.

Ah, well. Heart Is an Awesome Power.

I feel like writing a long ass (relatively, think like 5 chapters of 1000 or so words each.) fic then end it like this.

Go right ahead.

Ok, props for the TV tropes use.

I feel like your writing is kind of hit-and-miss: sometimes it's fantastic, sometimes it's mediocre. This story falls into the former category. My favorite bits are the TvTropes references and the a/n self-insert meta-godhood thing.

I've always wanted to see a fic where the author visits his own story and abuses his powers.

I like this.

There's a difference between Meta and Lazy. This is the latter.

The problem with writing a story in which you insert yourself... is that it's still a story...
