We've finally landed down on this new island. The entire way Applejack and Rainbow were arguing over what to call it. Rainbow even mentioned naming the island after me, as you said I was to be in charge. That even I didn't agree with. Either way, we've managed to meet up with the expeditionary ponies, who you sent a few weeks prior, and have already begun working on changing their Spartan camp, into a thriving port town. I'm hopping that when you arrive next year to check on the progress, we'll have a wonderful town to show you.

This is a story idea that's been in my head ever sense I started playing the game Gnomoria a couple of days ago. Not sure if it will turn into a large story or a small novella. Either way, it had reached the point where I just HAD to write it down.

The pacing is indeed correct for what I have planned for this story. Keep in mind, that I don't plan on it being rather long. If you'd look at my other story, you'd see that the longest chapter there is roughly about 5k words. Though I would prefer for the first chapter here to be about the same length as the one there. I just couldn't.
I'd rather have a short good story, then a long drawn out one.

Well, I can't really tell you where exactly I'm going but just the fact that Discord is needed, and that the discovery was serious enough to warrant a restricted section, should give people clues on to the direction I plan on going with the story. (I would like it if any of you would spellcheck yes, as the spellcheck that does come with my browser seems to miss my less common mistakes.)
And before anyone asks, I'm not telling. Hell, if I can help it I won't reveal what the discovery was in the next chapter either.

Well, this is supposed to take place a while after the end of season 3, so I just assumed she'd take up some of Celestia's... better habits. Maybe be a little fusion of both Celestia and Luna.
As in reality Celestia actually needed Luna to rule properly, and vice versa. Yet, Twilight would have guidance from both sisters, hence she'd be like that after being a Princess for a couple of years.
During the writing of chapter 6, or 5 in the actual story, was when the though "Damn, I'd want her as my gf... wait, did I really just think that?" passed my mind...

It served it purpose and let me know that something Big was coming but it did not have the impact that it would have had if we knew him better. It does tell me something i did not think of earlier. Twilight took everything in stride as did the guard so death/murder is not completely unknown in pony society. It is a problem to be dealt with or a mess to be cleaned up.
as for Master? i have read Airstreams Dusk's Dangerous Game and its predecessor. I Always assume that there are more players in the game than i know about.

If you notice, there is no romance tag. I won't be playing off a lot of any ships right now in the story as, I haven't planned that much yet... I'll mostly be focusing on the whole Investigation/Research bit for now. That, and the secret society. So don't worry, there won't be a lot of OctaScratch mucking things up for yah.
Or any ships really... I mean, I tried pitting Discord with Midnight (You all saw/read that scene...) But, at the time it just didn't fit in my headcannon for the story... No ships do really. It's not a Romance, because I suck at romance.
